    in Music

Led by firecracker front woman Collette McLafferty, edibleRed is an eclectic New York City-based five-piece collective of atypical musicians. Featured lyricist McLafferty is edibleRed’s femme-fatale who describes her sound as one of “a classically trained voice that slowly degenerated into a rock singer’s.”
McLafferty was featured on an episode of FUSE’s “Tattoo Stories,” and The Style Network’s “Split Ends” where she got a brand new coif from the scissors of a hot Los Angeles stylist.
edibleRed’s songs have been included on the Oxygen Network’s “Good Girls Don’t,” and most recently the band’s lead single “Sugar and Spring” was featured in an episode of Showtime’s “The L Word.” Their music can also be heard on KROCK2’s “Domestic Disturbance.”

Collette and TP Join us this week on Before Bedtime

    in Books

Collette McLafferty leads us off at 10 PM. Collette is a powerful, inspirational musician who brings us a wealth of array of knowledge of the music industry, recording studios, and her powerful ballad "Hey Ya" is a huge hit on Youtube. Her band edibleRed is one that'll dazzle your ears, inspire your heart, and make you stand up cheering for more. Collette leads off at 10 PM. TP Jones will be with us again this week. His book, Jackson, is a great, fascinating book. Here is a little info. on the book: Jackson is a fictionalized Iowa town facing a crisis: the meatpacking plant that employs many townspeople and keeps Jackson going is shutting down. Inspired by the real town of Dubuque, Iowa, the story is told from varying viewpoints of Jackson’s hardworking citizens as they cope with change. It is a collection of one town’s thoughts about losing its major business, while wondering what the future holds. To research material for this book, Jones completely submerged himself into the culture of Dubuque for two years, lending him an interesting creative process and point of view. Collette bats lead off at 10 PM. TP takes us home at 10:22 PM. You don't want to miss this.
