Join us for our 157th episode of The Verbal Submission as hosts Brian Hemminger and Ben Thapa talk the latest happenings in the world of mixed martial arts. We'll be talking this past week's Bellator 99, WSOF 5 and even the big boxing bout between Floyd Mayweather and Canelo Alvarez from last night.
Our special guest will be UFC 165 co-headliner Eddie Wineland, who's challenging for Renan Barao's interim bantamweight title.
Eddie Wineland is kicking things off this show and 30 minutes might not be enough to cover all topics with Eddie. Eddie has been thinking about retirement, but that’s not the focus this show. We will talk with Eddie about his career, the highs & the lows, his future with MMA, and of course his thoughts on the direction of the sport.
Our next guest Nick Lobosco is undefeated in 7 fights and will put that on the line Junes 21 at World Series of Fighting 10 against Lance Palmer. Nick is not only a fighter, but a mentor and coach to his High School wrestling team. We will talk to Nick about his time wrestling in college and how it has helped him with not only coaching his team, but inside the cage as well. We will talk to Nick about being a part of the main card, against a guy like Lance and how he feels their styles match up.

We will talk to Bec about her decision to get into the sport of MMA and what made her decide to make her pro debut just a mere 10 months after having a baby. Bec is from Australia and we will talk about her home country and some of the things she misses most about the land down under.
Our last guest has no problem being the last man standing and in Inglewood on June 21, Joe Schilling will try to do just that at Glory 17. Joe will be competing in Glory’s Last Man Standing middleweight tournament. We will talk to Joe about not only being a part of such a stacked tournament, but what goes in to training for such an event as opposed to just another fight. Joe already know what it takes to win a tournament like this as he did it at Glory 10.
This weeks show is kicked off by Eddie Wineland. Eddie is no stranger to the show and no stranger to big fights.
