Recipient of a Presidential award (Entrepreneur of the Year), author T. Martin Bennett masterfully recounts the astonishing untold story of Mitsuo Fuchida, pilot who led the infamous attack on Pearl Harbor. Not a war story, but character-driven nonfiction originally written as an epic screenplay, Wounded Tiger traces miraculous transformation from revenge to redemption—this, through providentially entwined lives of Fucida with an American prisoner & a girl Fuchida never met. In the wake of a 2015 Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade, marking the 70th Anniversary of the war’s end, you won’t want to miss hearing these stranger-than-fiction, largely untold stories!
The Arizona Cardinals wrapped up their season on Sunday with an embarrassing 36-6 Week 17 loss at home to the Seattle Seahawks. It didn't hurt anything in the big picture and it didn't help Seattle. Arizona still is the number two seed and Seattle the number six seed. But with the ugly loss, is there reason to be concerned and were there any takeaways from the game?
In this show, hosts Jess Root and Seth Cox go over how there isn't really much to take away from the game, except that Seattle needed and wanted the game more than the Cardinals. It was something for their psyche and their confidence against moving forward.
They pose the question and give their answer -- should Cardinals fans be more concerned moving forward in the playoffs about facing Seattle potentially?
Then, looking ahead to the divisional round, they discuss the three possible opponents -- the Packers, Redskins and Vikings and discuss each team's strengths. They rank their confidence level against each team and talk about which team they would prefer to see next weekend.
Make sure you give the show a listen and head on over to Revenge of the Birds for more great Cardinals content.
The Arizona Cardinals have won nine straight ballgames after a 38-8 beatdown they put on the Green Bay Packers, sacking Green Bay quarterbacks nine times and scoring two defensive touchdowns. Now they are 13-2, they are NFC West champs and have locked up a playoff bye and already have their best regular season ever.
Hosts Jess Root and Seth Cox look back at the last two wins over the Eagles and Packers, in which they won by a combined score of 78-25. What stood out? They talk about the play of David Johnson and Michael Floyd, the loss of Tyrann Mathieu and how it will not crush the team, as well as the pass rush showing up.
More importantly, they discuss the rest or no rest issue for the Cardinals heaidng into their final week facing the Seattle Seahawks at home.
Looking ahead, what is the minimum expectation for the Cardinals? What will make the season a success? The hosts say if they don't at least make it to the Super Bowl, the season is incomplete and unfulfilled.
Listen in and give you takes over at Revenge of the Birds.
Oh, boy. The Arizona Cardinals came away with a thrilling 26-20 overtime playoff victory over the Green Bay Packers on Saturday. The win had a little bit of everything, from a Hail Mary, a tipped pass TD, a coin that didn't flip and Larry Fitzgerald lore. Hosts Jess Root and Seth Cox talk about all the storylines from the game -- playcalling, Carson Palmer's nerves, whether the Cardinals played well or not, the bye week and more.
They also look ahead to the game this weekend that determines who goes to the Super Bowl. The Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals both want in. How can the Cardinals beat them? What matchups will matter?
The Arizona Cardinals had a bye week in the playoffs and got to sit back and wait and see who they would play. Wild Card weekend brought some surprises. After the dust settled and Blair Walsh's kick went wide left, combined with a Green Bay Packers team that got its mojo back, the Cardinals were set to host Green Bay again this weekend.
Hosts Jess and Seth react to the weekend of playoff football and delve into the matchup against the Packers again. What matchups matter, is there anything to Green Bay and their swagger? How will this game look the second time around with a healthy Packers team, albeit on short rest.
The Cardinals also made a roster move to replace an injured Alex Okafor and add veteran Jason Babin. The hosts give their take on the move and whether they are excited at all.
Lastly, they discuss the potential matchups in the NFC Championship game. Is it destiny that the Cardinals and Seahawks clash once more at University of Phoenix Stadium with everything at stake?
