Selling on eBay has been my passion since 1997. In 1998 I quit all three of my jobs and made it my full time career. Consignment selling back then opened up more doors of opportunity for my eBay business. Consignment selling is not for everyone. I have information for those eBay sellers wanting to get started can read my blog post at the eBay For Business blog. For those living in the Ocala FL, Marion County area seeking an online consignment seller, feel free to contact me through email or my website at: PowerSellingMom.com
Tune in to meet this awesome seller I met at a local eBay workshop I was presenting in Ocala FL. This seller was so interesting to me I invited him to be a guest on my radio show. Meet Phil, the owner of DragonBackbone.com. He has been selling online for quite awhile and his family roots go back a few years creating these unique and OOAK items. In eBay terms that stands for: Original, One of A Kind.

Her eBay user ID was a perfect choice several years ago - my_real_job_is_tattoos. Ironically as her eBay business grew she was able to leave behind that "real job" and make a full time living as a work from home eBay Powerseller. Angie Diller is my guest on Scouting Hot Finds Radio and our topic is essentially sourcing. For Angie she runs a business totally based upon consignment with regular pickers that bring her items to sell on eBay. This interview is the first in a series of shows that I'm going to publish describing strategies that people in the hobby can make a little money to feed their habit. I got my real start on eBay as a consignment seller about 10 years ago so this interview brings me back to my own eBay roots. As you listen to the interview we dive into how Angie runs her business including talking about unique sticky points with selling on consignment. How do you determine the consignment rate? What happens with returns? How do you handle your consignors to make sure there are no bad surprises? These are all questions that Angie and I dive into during this interview. As for pickers she has some war stories to share in the hot Michigan estate sale market. If you enjoy this episode be sure to tune in over the next few months as I do more show topics about making money selling memorabilia. The crowed cheered when this was shown and I too was excited because it is going to give us a lot of data that we can benefit from. Such as :

This hub will provide about everything a seller needs in one place!
The waiting list is open. You could be among some of the 1st to experience the hub. CLICK HERE to join the waiting list. The Hub is scheduled to go live Oct 20, 2015.

eBay is setting new standards for sellers which will make us all better at what we love to do most "Sell on eBay" and the new standards will make shopping a better place for buyers. The results of the seller standard changes is "A Better Marketplace" so who can complain? Not me!
I have always trusted eBay to roll out changes with the good intention to make it a better experience for everyone involved; buyers, sellers and eBay. After all it is the worlds largest online marketplace and the best news is that eBay will NEVER compete with us sellers. Unlike other online sites which I shall not name. Just sayin'!
This was a statement Devin Wenig, the CEO and President of eBay made very clear "We will never compete with our sellers!"
Tune in to hear more about the seller standards and what can be expected in the New Year. Prepare now for the Holidays and be ready to embrace 2016 for a bigger and more successful year of selling on eBay.
