Heidi Anderes is the founder and owner and Lush Life Consigned Furnishings, a furniture consignment boutique in Denver, CO, specializing in high-end, lightly-used furniture, accessories and home décor items. Nearly three years ago, unsatisfied with the quality and selection of affordable furniture in the Denver area, Heidi took matters into her own hands and pursued her dream of starting her own business and founded Lush Life.
Since the doors opened in February 2011, Heidi has reinvented the consignment shopping experience. She has an appreciation for fine furniture and goods of a quality built to last forever; she is committed to preserving the world's limited resources and finding new homes for passed-down furnishings as part of a recycling process she calls simply “smart living.” Keeping her finger on the pulse of her regular customers and consigners – from maintaining customer wish lists to making house calls to consigner’s homes or estate sale hunting – Heidi has a penchant for procuring the special finds and sophisticated touches that have made Lush Life a solutions for Coloradans’ home furnishing needs.
“‘Lush Life’ – it’s a 1930s jazz standard, a novel about quarreling Lower East Siders, a well-known Bahamian beach house and, since 2011, the befitting moniker of a consigned furnishings boutique in SoBo’s Antique Row. “– 303 Magazine

Vernon v. Autodesk
This episode of Vondran Legal Hour features an overview of the case of Vernon v. Autodesk and asks and answers the question of "Can I buy software at a garage or office sale and sell it on an internet auction website such as eBay without risking federal copyright infringement?"
This is a very imporant question, and often misunderstood. Most people think when they "buy" software that they become the "owner" of the software and thus have a legal right to sell the software online. This is not always true and it is very important to look at the terms of the Software Licensing Ageement.
If you are acting outside the scope of the licensing agreement, you may winde up posting the software for sale on your eBay "power seller" account only to find out the software company sends out a "take down" notice that might result in getting your eBay account (or Amazon.com account) shut down.
Federal Copyeright law protects software products and the members of the Business Software Alliance ("BSA") which is comprised of some of the largest software companies in the world - such as Adobe, Microsoft, Autodesk, Apple, Bentley, Symantec etc., take issues of alleged "software piracy" very serious. They even have an "anti-piracy" hotline that gives rewards to ex-employees who blow the whistle on their employers use of unilcensed (meaning unpaid for) software, or the failure to purchase the software from authorized resellers.

Get your auction fix and help charities raise money. Chesapeake Charities has been selected by eBay™ to be one of only 40 U.S. nonprofit organizations to participate in a new fundraising program, Campaign For Your Cause. The challenge is to raise $10,000 in a 7-day online silent auction. The auction goes live on Thursday, October 16 and closes on Saturday, October 25. A sneak preview of auction items can be found on the Chesapeake Charities Facebook page: Facebook/chesapeakecharities.
In an effort to expand their philanthropic work, eBay™ Giving Works and its partner PayPal™ Giving Fund, created Campaign for your Cause as an online auction-style fundraiser to give nonprofits an advantage in their efforts to raise money and awareness for their causes.
Chesapeake Charities supports 73 different charities in a large region, with a diverse range of causes and constituents, eBay™ Giving Works saw the potential to make a substantial impact. In fact, Chesapeake Charities is the only community foundation among the 40 organizations chosen.
Three funds with unique auction items were chosen to be featured on the program today: Cancer Comfort Angels, Friends of Historic Christ Church, and Corsica River Conservancy; their representatives will describe the items they are placing in the auction and what the funds raised will support.
Listen to Let’s Coach at noon Wednesday, October 15, 2014 to hear about the auction and the charities it supports. Let the bidding begin!
DECLUTTER YOU LIFE...DECLUTTER YOUR BRAIN!
Your house needs a purge, so does your brain. Where on earth to begin. First make a decision to DECLUTTER. Take a long hard look at your house and hold firm. Begin with acceptance. Nothing stays around forever without your consent. Do you have a storage locker? Do you know what's in it? If you don't embrace cleaning up YOUR STUFF, your kids are going to have to throw everything out.
Begin with inventory. Sorry, but sentiment cannot enter into the decision to give it away or throw it out. Got family heirlooms, pass them on to your kids. Sell YOUR STUFF on the internet or hold a garage sale.
When you declutter your house, your brain...etc.
When you make a decision ACT ON IT...etc.
Sell your vintage clothes on...etc.
Furniture on consignment...etc.

There have been massive retail data breaches recently -- breaches that can negatively affect you and people you know. Sadly, things are not getting better for us--they are getting worse. Corporate data thefts have taken a significant toll on American consumers, who have had their identities stolen, their personal credit cards used and abused, and their bank accounts violated.
Signs are pointing to the high likelihood that at some point soon, everyone will become a victim of this high tech crime. Host, Joyce Barrie, has been a victim. It seems almost impossible to avoid falling prey to this insidious crime. Joyce will share what happened to her, so you can be on Red Alert.
This is an important show --one you do not want to miss.
In August of 2003, Donna Visocky was attending a Compassionate Friends meeting when a woman came up to her after the meeting and said “Your daughter was standing behind you all night long and she is a beautiful girl.” And so began a journey that really started with the death of Donna’s 21 year-old daughter Kristi in a car accident just two months earlier.
It took a month for Donna to get up the nerve to make an appointment with the “Angel Reader” but go she did, driven by an agonizing desire to reconnect with her daughter. Not only did Debra Becker, this very special Angel Reader, help her connect with Kristi, but she also introduced Donna to the angels and an entire new dimension of spirituality.
Donna recalls, “Kristi was an incredibly beautiful soul, filled with compassion and concern for those less fortunate. From the time she was a small child she stood up for the underdog and often riled against the injustices in this world. Oh, how that child loved to argue. It was Kristi who brought me here, to this place in my life; who opened the windows of my mind to the wonders and blessings of the universe and the realization that this is just a small blip in the journey of our souls.”
