Host Cyrus Webb welcomes country music artist Hicks to Conversations LIVE to discuss his love of music and introduce his single HAYRIDE.
Join us as we shine the spotlight on the world’s sauciest authors dedicated to the realms of BDSM, GLBT, and Erotica. Write On the Edge (or WOE) asks the questions few dare, but we all want the answers to. It pushes the limits and creates the standard of steamy, intelligent converse. But keep in mind. . . it’s called “Write on the Edge” for a reason. (aka This show is not for the faint of heart!)
This weeks’s Featured Author is . . . Kassanna is a strong believer in love at first sight and happily ever afters. After meeting her husband in November and marrying him three months later in February the two have survived and mostly enjoyed every adventure life has thrown their way. Ten years, two children, a couple of dogs and a wild turkey that came out the woods and somehow adopted them – later- the adventure continues. Writing has always been her passion but fate sometimes has other roads that must first be taken . Navigating the road less traveled was not only unexpected but in the end extremely rewarding. Her books are mainly contemporary romance but she has delved into the paranormal and plans on expanding into other areas as the ideas come to her. Right now she is enjoying life and seeing her work come into fruition make it that much more pleasurable especially when her books make others smile. Kassanna wouldn’t have it any other way.

Dwight Slaughter graduated from Verbum Dei High School, a school with one of the top 10 winning basketball teams of all time. While at Verbum Dei High School Dwight was voted number one player in the Country in 1972 by different sports magazines. He then went on to further his education and play basketball at Cal State Los Angeles from 1972 to 1976—a period that would set a precedent with new laws changing how colleges accept athletes. During his athletic career, Slaughter was interviewed by such greats as Howard Cosell, on his show SportsBeat and in his book, I Never Played the Game; Morley Safer from 60 Minutes; and John Chancellor from World Nightly News. He was voted by ESPN and Sports Illustrated as one of the top 100 basketball players in the State of California.

According to Chief D.L. "Pappy" Hicks (facebook LEFT Click only!))
The Texas Cherokees (website) were driven out by force In battles fought on the 15th and 16th of July 1839.
No one left of his own accord. Many DID NOT flee Texas, but hid out in the woods until the army left. Many returned to their fields and started to live as "white" citizens for survival purposes.
Many lost their Cherokee heritage; some of them hung on to them and have never wavered about being Cherokee. We wavered only when it came to living within the bounds of Texas.
Remember, a red man couldn't vote or hold office until 1924. Even after that period, it was best to be "Black Dutch," or something that was dark, than it was to be and American Indian. People shouldn't depend entirely upon historians and their books to give them facts about the red man.
It is also impossible to "discover" historical events with a couple of books. Especially since I have read so many written by people who only rely upon other "historian's" document "facts." Not all court decisions are given with justice; just legal.
Those decisions by Texas and US Courts have not made the treaties with Spain, Mexico and Republic of Texas invalid.
This week’s OH MTG! featured creative phenom is Kisha Hicks from Wilma & Ethel handcrafted jewelry, based in Downtown Los Angeles and founded by Miss Hicks in 2006. The company name “WILMA & ETHEL” comes from a combination of her dog's nickname, Wilma (That’s right kids, as in “Wilma” from THE FLINTSTONES) with a natural pairing with Ethel (Right again, kids… as in “Ethel Mertz” from I LOVE LUCY), both famous 50's TV gals. Kisha's “Wilma & Ethel” jewelry, like her company name, has an overriding motif - Girlfriends. Girls who work together, play together, and share memories together. This is “Wilma & Ethel”.
Each piece is expertly designed and hand-crafted by Kisha herself. A graduate of FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Marketing), Kisha has developed a line rich in natural themes & bohemian textures, designing contemporary jewelry with a vintage flair. Her collections vary from delicate contemporary designs to vintage motifs with materials ranging from 14K Gold-plated & Sterling Silver to Mixed Metals & Suede.
