“Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.” Proverbs 4:25. THESE words occur in a passage wherein the wise man exhorts us to take care of all parts of our nature, which he indicates by members of the body. “Keep thy heart,” says he, “with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.” It is clear that every part of our nature needs to be carefully watched, lest in any way it should become the cause of sin. Any one member or faculty is readily able to defile all the rest, and therefore every part must be guarded with care. We have selected for our meditation the verse which deals with the eye. These windows of light need to be watched in their incomings, lest that which we take into our soul should be darkness rather than light; and they need to be watched in their outgoings, lest the glances of the eye should be full of iniquity, or should suggest foolish thoughts. Hence the wise man advises, “Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.”

In 2010, over 89,000 horses were slaughtered in Canada. Some were former race horses and breeding stock, others came from private homes, trail riding businesses and the Pregnant Mare Urine industry. With the closure of the last slaughter plant in the U.S., tens of thousands of horses are imported to Canada, for slaughter.
Horses experience severe psychological and physical suffering at slaughter, due to improper stunning and shooting practices. Serious welfare concerns also arise during loading and transport of horses, as well as at auctions and feedlots.
Hear from Sinikka Crosland, Executive Director of The Canadian Horse Defence Coalition, and Theresa Nolet, horse rescuer, as they help us understand the Canadian horse slaughter industry, and what you and I can do to help.
"Therefor being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into his grace whein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation works patience; And patience, experience; experience, hope: and hope make not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."--Romans 5:1-8. Friends, saints and family salvation is a free gift! Accept the Abundance of Grace...there is nothing else you can do; the battle is already won.

We feel sick in the stomach. The planet is on the verge of major events in all arenas. This is an impromtu show that we feel must be broadcasted due to recent dreams, visions, and high-strangeness over the last few weeks. It is as if time is really short. Really short. There is this urgency.
After last year’s KCPE results were released on December 28, a girl in Kericho District took her life. Reason? She could not comprehend how she had scored a lowly 145 marks after eight years in school.Yet, Mercy Chebet, 14, was not alone. Several other pupils have since committed suicide after posting poor grades, or after being forced to repeat grades. The deaths have not been limited to pupils as a head teacher in a primary school in Narok also hanged himself after his school’s results were cancelled due to cheating. With the number of learners who are throwing themselves to early graves on the rise, psychologists have their work cut out as they seek to explain a trend they warn could go out of control if not curbed.Philip Odio, a psychologist, attributes the suicides to a stressful environment, coupled with factors such as high cost of living.Click here

From Sharon: Artful Grief: A Diary of Healing is about the seven year period after my daughter’s suicide, during which I created a series of eighty-three collages. It is the story of my understanding of myself, for my child’s death stripped me of my identity as a human being, a mother and an art therapist. It is also my daughter Kristin’s story, and the struggle she lost due to a misdiagnosed bipolar illness. The narrative unfolds with the phone call I received in the middle of the night from the New York City police, telling me that Kristin had “fallen” to her death. Through my journal entries, written to Kristin, the reader enters my intimate lamentations for my child.
