Good morning Church! Today we are reading Romans Chapter 12.
Paul has some ideas for Christians who really want to live in harmony with each other and be close to God. Christians should give their whole being over to God so he can fill them up with everything that is good and wonderful and all around awesome in his eyes. They do not want to be doing what everyone else is doing (it's so conformist), but they want to be transformed into new people who can intimately know God. Sounds like a plan. Some pointers to start: don't get cocky, keep a level head, and use common sense. Good ideas… we should be taking notes. Paul says that Christians are like the different parts of the body. Everyone has different gifts, too. Some people are good at predicting the future, some at ministering to others, some at teaching, some are generous, some are natural leaders, and some are just plain compassionate. All these gifts are important and a-okay with God. Overall, Christians should do what's loving and give a big roundhouse kick to the face to everything that's evil. They should love each other a lot, serve God, be patient when bad things happen, welcome strangers who need their help, be kind to people who are out to get them, and basically live in harmony with everyone and everything. Oh, Lord, kumbaya. As for people who tick you off, don't be filled with anger and vengeance. Leave that up to God. "Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord." You should even be cool to your enemies. If they need food, give it to them. If they're hungry, crack open an ice cold Coke and hand it over. Really just kill them with kindness, Paul says. It's the only way that you might make them feel ashamed of what they're doing to you. Paul sums all this up with a final piece of advice: don't get taken over by evil. Instead, take over the whole world with good. Totally. Thanks to www.shmoop.com

Our guest is actress Holly Fulger
My name is Holly Fulger and I have been an actress in Hollywood for over twenty years. I am not a famous movie star – far from it. I’m a struggling working (and a lot of the time nonworking) actress who has experienced first-hand how one’s looks can dictate one’s career. It’s been one of the things that has fueled me, plagued me, and stood in my way; do I look right? Am I beautiful? Can I work in a profession that is all about looks? And most recently; can I work in a profession as a woman over 50?
Quite simply, growing up, all I ever wanted was to be as pretty as the models in the magazines. But I wasn’t. Not only was I very shy and quiet, by fourth grade I was tall and skinny, with crooked teeth that needed braces and eyesight so bad I needed glasses that were true “Coke-bottles.” I was a straight A student, but that never really figured into who I was; and if it did, it was only to support the fact that I was a smart girl who was nerdy and ugly. Honestly, it was such a painful period in my life and has been with me ever since.
That is the reason I created my webseries, The Hollywood Beauty Detective. I want to be part of that change. The Hollywood Beauty Detective is my way of opening up the conversation about beauty and helping to create a more inclusive definition of it.

Henry Garnet -- English Jesuit priest executed for his complicity in the Gunpowder Plot of 1605. Born in Heanor, Derbyshire, he was educated in Nottingham and later at Winchester College, before he moved to London in 1571, to work for a publisher. There he professed an interest in legal studies, and in 1575 he travelled to the continent and joined the Society of Jesus. He was ordained in Rome some time around 1582.
In 1586 Garnet returned to England as part of the Jesuit mission, soon succeeding Father William Weston as Jesuit superior, following the latter's capture by the English authorities. Garnet established a secret press, which lasted until late 1588, and in 1594 he interceded in the Wisbech Stirs, a dispute between secular and regular clergy.
In summer 1605 Garnet met with Robert Catesby, a religious zealot who, unknown to him, planned to kill the Protestant King James I. The existence of Catesby's Gunpowder Plot was revealed to him by Father Oswald Tesimond on 24 July 1605, but as the information was received under the seal of the confessional, he felt that Canon law prevented him from speaking out. Instead, without telling anyone of what Catesby planned, he wrote to his superiors in Rome, urging them to warn English Catholics against the use of force.
When the plot failed Garnet went into hiding, but he was eventually arrested on 27 January 1606. He was taken to London and interrogated by the Privy Council, whose members included John Popham, Edward Coke and Robert Cecil, 1st Earl of Salisbury.
This week, James discusses the importance of getting in where you fit in and staying true to what really moves you. Also, he talks directly to convenience store owners, imploring them to stock their shelves with Coke Zero Cherry by Spring.

This weekend Valiant Comics, publisher of comics like Manowar, Shadowman and Bloodshot, annouced a 9 figure deal with Chinese Film company DMG to bring their properties to Big and Small screen in both America and Asia.
What does thaat mean? it means this is no longer a coke and pepsi game and the Superhero genre may get even more crowded if this deal sets a precedence for other Comic Book publishers in the independant realm.
we'll discuss this and talk about Super Girl's costume...because...well...what else is there really?
