We're back! After a busy, busy summer, Fred and Marg are back with Lies My Country Told Me and are excited about today's guest, Darryl of DI.
After six years as serving as the voice of democracy, Blog Talk Radio's popular weekly show, "Democracy Interactive" also known as DI, turned of the lights and closed the door. Like clockwork, DI aired on Sundays and with its unique progressive chat community, was one of the best shows BTR offered. The show often featured high profile guests, like Presidential candidate, Rocky Anderson, or Pulitzer Prize winner, author Hedrick Smith, as well as our voices, "we the people".
Lies My Country Told Me is thrilled that Darryl, DI's host, has agreed to come on air as today's featured guest. His advocacy for democracy has involved him in many, many projects and campaigns over the years and we all know that his fight for a democratic nation did not stop three months ago, with the airing of his last show.
Please join us on "Lies My Country Told Me" on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 12:00 pm EST. We encourage you to call in at (347) 677-1814 or join us in the chatroom with your questions for Darryl. You can also reach us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Now in thinking about this week's show, I was about to go on and say that, I don't believe that enough is being done to support, advocate and create awareness for disabilities. Disabilities like my own(Spina Bifida) Muscular Dystrophy, Multiple Sclerosis, Celebal Palsy and so many others. But in thinking and doing some more search, I realize that there are. Walks, fundraisers. People like you and I going out and raising money and awareness for disabilities all scross the "board". The other thing that I was, and in a way still am concerned about is the amount of research that's done to help fight these dsiabilities, these "birth defects". You see reasearch studies posted and shared, but can the majority of the public find them? Let's be hones for a second. Most of us don't know where to look to find studies that have been shared publically. Maybe something should be said or done to make sure that this research, these studies are placed more so out into the open so that everyone can find them easily, without having to "dig around" for it.
We'll talk about this and more. This week. "On-Air".
The remote farming community of Murdock, Nebraska, seemed to be the least likely setting for one of the heartland's most ruthless and bloody double murders in decades. In fact, the little town had gone more than a century without a single homicide. But on the night of Easter 2006, Wayne and Sharmon Stock were brutally murdered in their home. The murders garnered sensational frontpage headlines and drew immediate statewide attention. Practically everybody around Murdock was filled with fear, panic, and outrage. Who killed Wayne and Sharmon Stock? What was the motive? The Stocks were the essence of Nebraska's all-American farm family, self-made, God-fearing, and of high moral character. Barely a week into this double murder investigation, two arrests brought a sense of relief to the victims' family and to local residents. The case appeared to fall neatly into place when a tiny speck of murder victim Wayne Stock s blood appeared in the alleged getaway car.
Then, an obscure clue left at the crime scene took the investigation down a totally different path, stretching into Iowa, Louisiana, New York, Texas, and Wisconsin. By the time this investigation was over, the charges against the original suspects were dismissed and two new individuals emerged from the shadows.
Author John Ferak covered the Stock murders from the very beginning, including all of the trial proceedings. When the criminal prosecution finally ended in 2007, he remained puzzled by one nagging question: Why was the blood of victim Wayne Stock in a car that was ultimately proven to have no connection to the murders?
Over the next few years, the astonishing bloody lies were revealed, culminating in a law enforcement scandal that turned the case on its head and destroyed the career of Nebraska's celebrated CSI director, David Kofoed. BLOODY LIES-A CSI Scandal In The Heartland-John Ferak
On this show we're gonna talk about the security of the southern border, the brutality of the drug cartels and some other shit. During the after show transmission on 4 Sep, we held a caller over and he told us a story that our listeners need to hear. Why are we not stepping up security at the border ahead of the 9/11 and Benghazi anniversaries? Checkout the Bead Window Radio Facebook page for related articles and videos.

For far too many men relationships are filled with angst, distrust, disloyalty and overall dissatisfaction. The media would have you believe that men are generally responible for relationship breakups, and far too often, men accept this as truth and sometimes give up on finding true love for themselves.
But are men the real problem? Are men always to blame when it comes to relationship breakups?
I believe the answer is an emphatic no, and, women and men are eqully responsible for failed relationships. What is needed is a dialog that supports men and women in learning how to create and maintain healthy, rewarding and fulfilling relationships.
In order to create great relationships men and women must learn to recognize the "Love Lies" that sabotage their relationships.
Join Coach Michael Taylor as he interviews Best-selling Author, Success Coach and Love Relationships Mentor Debrena Jackson Gandy about her new book "The Love Lies - 10 Revelations That Will Transform Your Relationships and Enrich Your Love Life"
In this powerful interview Debrena will shed light on why relationships can be so difficult and she will be sharing some of the Love Lies that sabotage our relationships.
If you're ready to create deeply satisfying and fulfilling love relationships and marriages don't miss this interview!
In her new book Drug War Capitalism, Dawn Paley moves beyond the usual horror stories, beyond journalistic rubbernecking and hand-wringing, to follow the thread of the Drug War story throughout the entire region of Latin America and all the way back to US boardrooms and political offices. This unprecedented book chronicles how terror is used against the population at large in cities and rural areas, generating panic and facilitating policy changes that benefit the international private sector, particularly extractive industries like petroleum and mining.

The deadliest drug in America...cocaine, heroin, ectasy...none of the above. A reality check, ALCOHOL still the deadliest drug in U.S.
Lethal violence in poor minority communities is often associated with 'THE WIRE'---cocaine and heroin. NO THEY DO NOT TOP THE LIST. The answer is ALCOHOL. ALCOHOLis involved in more homicides than pretty much every other substance combined.
Survey of people incarcerated for violent crimes indicate that about 40% have been drinking at the time they committed these offenses. Offenders drink ALCOHOL because it plays a distinctive role. It lowers inhibitions and among some people, fosters aggressive behavoir that rachets up the risk that violence will occur.

Qualitative research is like completing a complex puzzle in which you put all the pieces together to create a picture. However, qualitative research is unique as a puzzle in that the researcher must first collect and analyze the puzzle pieces before putting the picture together. Join me and Dr. Paula Dawidowicz, Research Coordinator for the Ph.D. in Education Program at Walden University, as we discuss some of the ”puzzle pieces" of qualitative research that challenge novice researchers. Research problems vs. social problems, writing researchable questions, alignment of problem, purpose and questions, choosing appropriate methods, using theory effectively, conceptual frameworks versus theoretical frameworks, data collection techniques, data analysis and interpretation, and writing up findings are all topics for discussion in this show. The Alchemist – Drug Use throughout the Ages
From the dawn of time, man has harnessed the extraordinary powers offered up by the Earth in the form of plants and herbs without number. These treasures were created by God for the service of all man providing food for his sustenance and remedies for his healing. Through a proper and balanced use of these plants and herbs, the physician was able to produce, medicines, antidotes and poultices that took away pain, cured diseases and prolonged life. But like so many gifts of God, even these would fall to corruption; and the very medicines which the Lord hath created for our benefit had now become tools of Evil. Practitioners of witchcraft, sorceries, and shamanic magic would use these alchemical altered medicines to heighten perceptions and shatter the barriers of our reality, All in an attempt to communicate with beings from beyond the mortal realm. Some were so forward in this wickedness that entire religious customs and practices were created around particular drugs. In modern times some scholars have even gone so far as to suggest that mind altering drugs have influenced every major religious experience the world has ever known including those of Moses and the Biblical Prophets.
Join us today for another installment of “From Darkness to Light” as we give new meaning to the War on Drugs by exposing the historical and present day misuse of the Heavenly Fathers great medicines of the Earth.
