Less than 2 weeks ago, former Today Show movie critic Gene Shalit drove his Honda Element into the side of a house. Five years ago this month, I ran into the back of moving truck. What did Mr. Shalit and this doctor have in common?
Did you know that driving after being awake for 18 hours is equal to driving with a blood concentration of 0.1? A concentration of 0.08 is considered legally drunk. Do you or someone you know drive drowsy? At least half of Americans do.

Nadi Burton, our guest this week on Cosmic Citizen, was born in Harlem New York and raised in a Christian household. He rebelled as a teen and ran away from home and though he spent some years as a troubled and confused youth, at the ripe old age of eighteen, he made what was for him the supreme decision to find God; It has become the driving ambition of his life.
Nadi became hungry to find and study everything he could to give him a clearer revelation of the Divine Father. At first his spiritual journey took him toward music as a vehicle of expression. This opened doors into a variety of religions and places of worship. He became a serious student of many disciplines, such as metaphysics, parapsychology, new age philosophy, angelic revelations and most of the world religions. It was during this period that he discovered The Urantia Book. For Nadi, cultivating his relationship with God was a deeply personal experience. The book provided the answers he had prayed for, especially to know and be closer to his Universal Father.
He began the study and practice of many health and healing modalities and therapies, learning to live God's love in his life and with others. He desired to be like Christ in spirit but still felt painfully inadequate. For decades he studied the Urantia teachings completely in private.
Finally, after 30 years his sense of gratitude for the revelation took on a desire to write a blog to share it with others. Three years ago Nadi started a Urantia study group in his home in Harlem. He also began to share his music and read the book online in a weekly podcast called, "Urantia Speaks."
He will be sharing his burning desire to know God, the Universal Father, to become like him, and to do his will. Nadi's commitment to the teachings of The Urantia Book, his desire to share, his gratitude for his spiritual destiny, is his supreme commitment to a journey of fusion with the divine spark of God.

Wolfhours was conceived in the mind of Shontai Ralieck George a poet ,wordsmith, barz spitter master from Brooklyn New York. Though he now resides in the southern states he still has that gritty streetwise intelligence that makes him one of the most intriguing sought after figures within the poetic community.
The wolfhour concept basically presents a way for everyone to tell their story. Everyone no matter what background or lifestyle, profession or trade, religious or non-religious ..everybody has a story to tell. The guy on the corner begging for change to the lawyer in the courtroom pleading his/her case before a judge , they all have stories to tell. You might have been driving home from work when suddenly a car crosses three lanes just to get in an accident with you. By via of said incident you now have something to get off your chest. Well let it off!!!! We call this a vent. Venting is what the wolfhours movement prescribes if you got some stored up energy that needs to be released in the form of words. Written, spoken, even singing there is no one way to vent.
This blog talk radio show will give wordmiths nationwide a platform to showcase their skills in front of a virtual audience. Spoken word is the new hip hop. The body of the old hip hop is dying so it is up to us as word smiths to preserve this art form by embracing this movement through spoken word. So whether you are a bar spitter ..ballad writer, erotica, political, conscious or what have you. Its time to represent this art to the fullest. As and added bonus we will be featuring some of the hottest spoken word artist in the poetic community, given our callers the opportunity to call in, get in que to spit or ask the featured guest a question. Even if you just want to call in an enjoy the show either way the airwaves will be set a flame.

Thomas Jefferson and the founding fathers intended a strict separation of church and state, right? He would have been very upset to find out about a child praying in a public school or a government building used for religious purposes, correct? Actually, the history on this has been very distorted. While Jefferson may seem to be the Patron Saint of the ACLU, his words and actions showed that he would totally disagree with the idea of driving God out of the public square. Doubting Thomas documents that. . . * Jefferson said that our rights come from God. God-given rights are non-negotiables. * At the time that he wrote the Declaration of Independence and the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom---major contributions to human and religious rights?Jefferson served diligently as a vestryman (like an elder and a deacon rolled into one) for the Episcopal Church. * In 1777, he wrote up the charter for the Calvinistical Reformed Church in his town with an evangelical preacher, the Rev. Charles Clay--with whom he had a lifelong friendship. Jefferson was the biggest single contributor to this fledgling congregation. * Jefferson had nothing but the highest praise for Jesus’ teaching, which he studied religiously (even in the original Greek), in order to pattern his life after that which he called “the most sublime and benevolent code of morals which has ever been offered to man.” * As president, he attended church on a regular basis at the US Capitol building, even sometimes recommending preachers to fill that pulpit. * He had many positive relationships with orthodox clergymen and active lay Christians. * He actively supported Christian causes, financially, in ways that would put the average Christian to shame.
