Don was a teacher, school principal, and language supervisor, education director, and a director of language in bilingual, ESL, and special programs. He has also been a codirector of an undergraduate urban teacher preparation program and a professor of an early childhood program. He was Professor Emeritus at the University of New Hampshire.

That was the first question on Conversations with Music host Cyrus Webb’s mind when he sat down with the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter-producer to chat about pushing the boundaries of pop music on his new album, New Orleans. “Even before I decided to be a full-out artist—because I’ve done independent albums for years—I’ve always had the love of my musical peers,” said PJ. “I think that’s why I can call in those favors and get friends to come and collaborate with me. Because they know I do music for real. It’s not a hobby for me.”
