On July 26th 1956 the Italian liner Andrea Doria collided with the Stockholm and sank in about 13 hours. The events that took place on those decks became a rescue almost as if it were written for a film! Join Fred and William as they discuss the most dangerous shipwreck to dive on!

Her poems and essays have appeared or are forthcoming in burntdistrict,The Sugar House Review, Redactions, Revolver, The Portland Review, Puerto del Sol, and others. Andrea is Poetry Editor for Zone 3 Press and Assistant Professor of Poetry at Austin Peay State University.
Andrea’s debut poetry collection locates self within geographical experience, examining the intersection of person and place. Addressing themes of history, transformation, and youth, this collection explores the idea of poet as alchemist and scientist, explorer and observer.
"Andrea Spofford's debut collection is an engaging eco-poetical Bildungsromanin which Nancy Drew becomes a verb, traversed geographies stretch from hippodromes to sandstone caves, and vantage points move from the naturalist's eye to the panoramic gaze of an explorer compelled by the personal histories of place.'I want to tell you about sinking ships—Andrea Doria, Monitor, RMS Rhone./ I want to tell you about black holes, twenty-million bats in darkness'- Spofford's meticulous and striking images lead us to want to hear about it all."--Rebecca Morgan Frank

On October 21, 1916 Anthony Crawford who was a land baron owning between 427 - 600 acres of land was lynched and after his murder his family was threatened with the same fate if they did not leave town.
Mr. Crawford was a "targeted individual" because of his wealth and his family was robbed of a fortune.
We shall compared notes with this event, the Red Summer, and the MLK assasination and how these events can serve as a warning sign on what steps that U need to take to not become a targeted individual and keep your homestead.
Doria Johnson the great, great, grand daughter of Anothny Crawford will be our guest and share her families story.

She's the author of The Sparrow, Children of God, A Thread of Grace, and now the upcoming Doc - a look at the tuberculosis-infected youngster who saddled up with the Earp boys. The book drops on May 3, but we'll get into the goods and discuss bromances of the late 1800's, cunning challenges of the West, and we'll face the ol' Tombstone vs. Wyatt Earp film debate.
