The Don S. McClure Live - Believing in yourself.

    in Lifestyle

The Don S. McClure Show-Believing In Yourself

Our show: Tonight’s Topic: Believing in yourself.

You would think anyone who is past the age of 42 would believe in them selves a lot greater then when they were 32, but the truth of this issue is that most people find many ways on a daily bases not to believe in themselves and the power they have over their own life. They the movies like the Ernie Davis Story a young man who fights with all his heart to stay alive and complete his dream of playing Football besides Jim Brown on the Cleveland Brown team and yet loses his fight to Leukemia at the age of 23. And we see many other stories of courage and commitment and yet we still have doubt placed in our mind about our self-worth.  We know in our heart it is right to believe in what we dream.

But we continue to fall short when we receive the first letter of rejection, or the first failed relationship.

The real question is what will it take for you to believe in your self.

Author James K Stewart The Bible

    in Christianity

James K Stewart author of the book The Bible According to Jim.

In 1976, Rev. Dr. James K. Stewart read the entire Bible for the first time and became fascinated with God’s relationship with creation. After an early life in construction, Dr. Stewart felt God’s calling and returned to school. At university he majored in ancient history and studied the Hebrew language. His exegetical work is taken directly from Biblical Hebrew and Greek. This ability has helped him understand how male bias has been promoted by the church in all ages.

This book has evolved from the frustration of listening to clergy preach on Old Testament stories and knowing their knowledge comes from commentaries written in the 19th century. Biblical Hebrew speaks clearly to those who listen. Proper nouns enrich the Biblical stories.

Women have a voice and are major contributors to scripture but not from all traditions. The book speaks of the two main traditions, which provide most of the information. The main contributor is Yahwist (male supremacy) and the other major contributor is Elohist (male and female equality). In the Yahwistic tradition, women are blamed for man’s sin.

The Don S. McClure Show Live-The Importance of Exposure and Travel in your life.

The Don S. McClure Live- The Importance of Exposure and Travel in your life.

One of the main keys to having and enjoying your life starts with your exposure to undiscovered things and places.              A studied showed that those who were exposed early on in life had a better chance of becoming successful in their personal life as well as their professional career selections.

It is a known fact that when you are exposed to art, music and culture early your way of thinking reaches higher levels of understanding. They say if you read a book you can travel the world.

Your conversations become broader based. The fact that you see the world as an adventure and not a place where you have boundaries are open on a greater scale when you read and are exposed.

My feelings are if you read a book you can conquer the world and make life what you want it to be from your exposure and experiences. All based on your exposure and travel.
