Join us as we discuss Dogs on Deployment with Alisa Johnson and how they help foster pets for our service members when they are sent on deployments or out of the country. You can "like" their Facebook page, or sign the Change.org pledge to require bases to change their policies to standardize breed policies on base.
Next we interview Stephen Peters, President of the American Military Partner Association on the repeal of DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act) and how it is impacting gay and lesbian servicemembers lives and what we can expect in the future. We also discuss life as a gay Marine before Don't Ask, Don't Tell was repealed and why families previously denied these benefits deserve them. You can connect with them on Facebook as well.
REPEAL OF THE GAY MARRIAGE BAN (DOMA). In YOUR view, is it a legal sanction of an ABOMINATION or a bonafide CIVIL RIGHTS issue?
The Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) is before the SUPREME COURT. If repealed, those who have been MARRIED under the SAME SEX marriage provisions will receive all of the SAME FEDERAL PROTECTIONS AS OPPOSITE COUPLES. Does that simply level the playing field and provide civil rights for all committed couples or does it spell the END OF OUR MORAL FIBER as a nation, when we begin to allow SAME-SEX COUPLES the SAME RIGHTS as traditional marriage? What is gained or lost with the repeal of DOMA?

Tonight we get right back to the heart of State Sovereignty as we discuss the State Repeal Amendment with Lloyd Thomas Sloan . This amendment petition was introduced in the last Senate session and we will continue to push it hard. Listen in as we discuss a major piece of the State Sovereignty puzzle.
We'll review the day at Preppers and Patriots and Mike Slack will call to give us an update.
We are live at 7PM Missouri Time. You can call and participate at 347-677-1835. It's the best Saturday night you will spend this week.
Yes, that's right! The State Repeal Amendment that you've heard so much about right here was actually introduced in the Missouri Senate this session. Surprised? And it was tabled by our "Conservative" assembly. Not so surprised, huh? Time to get a momentum together for the November election and the next session. Lloyd Sloan joins us again tonight to talk about this amendment, the petition process as opposed to the Convention process, and the fallacies of a "controlled" convention. Join us live at 7PM Missouri time. Participate with Lloyd and Dave at 347-677-1835.
Ballot Measure 1, a proposed repeal of Gov. Sean Parnell’s Senate Bill 21 passed by the state Legislature last year, occupied an entire side of Tuesday’s primary ballots. Interest in the topic, which backers say could cost the state billions in tax revenue Initial returns, which took a big jump as of 11:30 p.m. with about 67 percent of precincts reporting, showed Ballot Measure 1 behind by a margin of 3,360 votes with 63,239 no votes to 59,879 yes votes.
Dan Sullivan is a head of Joe Miller by 5,000 votes with about 67% of the Precincts Reporting.
Butane legality and Butte Co. cultivation controversy are the focus of the 6 p.m. Monday, August 18 live podcast of Marijuana Compassion and Common Sense at blogtalkradio.com/marijuananews.
The use of butane in the production of marijuana concentrates is highly controversial. What is legal and what is not legal on both state and federal levels will be examined by famed marijuana attorneys Allison Margolin and Raza Lawrence. With home explosions making the headlines, fears of butane residuals in concentrates and the rapid growth of shatters and waxes especially among youthful consumers, the topic couldn’t be hotter.
In 2013, Butte Co. passed a very restrictive cultivation ordinance banning outdoor grows on lots of less than ½ acre and severely restricted cultivation on larger parcels. Patients rallied and collected enough signatures to place an initiative on the ballot to repeal the restrictive ordinance and replace it with one that is more patient friendly. Andrew Merkel of Butte County Citizens Against Irresponsible Government will speak on how patients succeeded in collecting enough signatures and the heightened tensions that have developed in Butte Co as a result of their success in putting the measure on the ballot.
With news, views, humor and grow tips, this is the marijuana show worth listening to this Monday August 18 at 6 p.m. and every Monday at 6 p.m. at www.blogtalkradio.com/marijuananews. Be a part of the live podcast by calling in your comments and questions to (657) 383-0011.

Okay, that election is over. Any surprises? Any regrets? Mike Slack and Dave do an analysis of results and a quick look at the future work the grassroots has cut out for them. We are pleased to have a visit from State Rep Mike Moon during this segment.
Then, in the last part of the program we will fall back, put this election behind us and get our focus back to issues of State Sovereignty. Back to basics. What is it, where does it come from, how is it exercised as the basic building block in promoting the will of the people.
Next week, we will talk with Keith Carmichael and Lloyd Sloan again and get back to two of our main thrusts to regain State Sovereignty. An amendment convention of the states, and the State Repeal Amendment.
Join Mike and Dave tonight. We'll be live at 7PM Missouri Time. You can call and participate on the studio line at 347-677-1835.

Any political topic is up for discussion. Talk about what is happening in your State. From sea to shining sea, we want to hear from you and what are your hopes as we fast approach the 2014 Midterm Elections of 2014. Please say your first name and where you are calling from?
Tell a friend about our humble little radio show as our aim is to mobilize voters to register, organize from a grassroots level, fight the 1% and ulltimately vote Democratic. There is no excuse not to vote as many countries around the world don't have that luxury. Power corrupt, absolute power corrupts absolutely. From 2010 until now the Republicans have had their reign of terror against the Middle Class, creating jobs, outsourcing manufacturing jobs, fighting Labor Unions, against raising the Minimum Wage, trying to repeal the Affordable Care Act (Obama Care) with nothing to replace it, crazy legislation against Women's Health and Rights, Xenophobic Immigration stance against all people (who are non-White), etc. The list goes on and on with no end in sight to their madness and mayhem.
Time to end their collective madness by voting them out this November 2014. Let's take back the power from ignorant, racist, uneducated, narcissistic, xenophobes who are a few. The trumpet has sounded my countrymen all, so wake from your slumber and answer the call. The GOP, fueled (or threatened?) by Tea Party psychopaths have waged war on well thinking Americans. They have lost their way and are dragging America down into an abyss that, if not corrected, will be too late. We've come so far but our best days are still ahead. There is no such thing as giving up in our vocabulary and we suspect the same rings true for you our loyal listeners.
So call us and tell us what's on your mind as we move forward into the 21st Century.
Every Congress has a job to do for citizens of America. What does congress do? Nothing! What does 113th congress need to do for Americans? Pass veterans bills. Pass President's jobs bills. Expand medicaid. pass universal back ground checks. Renew unemployment benefits. raise minimum wages. Moratorium on H1B Visas. Do not increase immigration numbers. Pass immigration reform. Pass infrastructure bill. It this seems like a lot, it is. Because GOP has been a do nothing congress!
Congress' job is to pass bills into laws to improve America for the greater good. What does the leader in 112th and 113th congress do? Nothing!
111th Congress passed the Affordable Care Act bill into law. What did 112th Congress do? Voted 50 times to repeal Affordable Care Act law!
113th congress resides over Border crisis. The resolve is not to neglect children of American citizens while exhibiting charity, compassion under the guise of humanitarian act to children of world citizens.
113th Congress job is to resolve homeland crisis before adding to homeland crisis. The bills many bills blocked by this 113th congress, once passed will put America on footage to the greatest society ever. And here is where we have a problem. The GOP met Jan 20, 2009 with a plan to sabotage the presidency of Barack Obama. The only way to create even an image of failure on the part of President Obama is to destroy Americans. The destruction of America's economy is the result of GOP 1) blocking bills; 2) outsouring US jobs; 3)continuing the importing of H1B visas when qualified Americans need those jobs; 4) locking our American workers.
There are bills to be passed that will fix our economy, but we cannot fall prey as a society to increase immigration numbers over the next decade. We have to 1) penalize employers who are hiring illegal immigrants 2)
So, you think NOT voting in 2014 helps? You think voting doesn't affect you? Think again! Republicans, since being elected as the majority in 2010 in the House of Representatives, has been nothing but a road block to real progress in America. Do the right thing by registering and voting in State Primaries and the mid-term election this November 2014. This is the most important election in the history of America.
If you don't vote, don't whine & complain when they continue on their path of destruction.
