Join Dr. Cheryl Cottle on Women in Business Radio at 11:00 am EST. where she talks about "Balancing Entrepreneurship and Divorce." Here Dr. Cottle will share her experiences working with clients as a mentor, Business Coach and Entrepreneur Trainer.
Dr. Cottle has chosen this topic because throughout her career, she has met several women who have had to deal with divorce and recreate a life for themselves. She has found that "many women are able to overcome a divorce but many allow the challenges to prevent them from moving forward. Some women are also marginal in their business when their husbands were present; and when he left he took with him the skills-set required to run and manage a business - - and she is now left with having to rethink if she will continue to be an entrepreneur." "She also has to identify the skills-sets that she may need. This generally entails having to engage in education and training to get her skills-sets to where she will need in. She often gets into an entrepreneurial venture; not necessarilly like the one she had with her husband, but a totaly new one."
Dr. Cottle hopes that this episode of "Balancing Entrepreneurship and Divorce" will be enlightening and that it will empower you to take control of your life to move on."

If you’ve ever experienced family court, you know how wrenching it can be. In difficult cases it’s hard to find a lawyer to tackle the issues, and if you’re broke, good luck getting legal advice. In the brotherhood/sisterhood of lawyers, one particular woman stands out – REALLY stands out. Elizabeth Kates has practice law for 34 years with impressive qualifications like a J.D. and LLM degrees from University of Florida, plus psychology training. She has practiced in the areas of finance, taxation and gender issues affecting women in the IRS and other federal laws. But she is so much more.
Liz founded lizlibrary.org to focus on women’s issues and history, which is probably the most comprehensive site about divorce, custody, news, and so much more. She believes that there is an abrogation of the rule of law in family law that has led to more and more problems for women in divorce and child custody, even as the changes in the laws in other areas have purported to equalize women's rights.
And to top it off, Liz is outspoken and controversial even among her peers. One lawyer wrote on his website that people should “stay away” from her as an attorney. She can be just as fierce in her opinions as she can be supportive of the issues she supports.
