Yo wasup and welcome to another episode of Rockafellaz Radio.
Today we will be on the topic of Display of Public Affection. Now we know in the straight community this is something that is seen often. But when it comes to the gay community, its a whole different ball game. Why is it so hard for some to be affectionate with their lover or spouse in public? Not saying there has to be aggressive affection, but what of holding hands or a small kiss.
Then there are those that dont like to be in public at all with their lover or spouse. Yes it happens. Ever want to go out somewhere with you boyfriend, like the movies or out to eat? Then he comes up with some excuse as to why he doesn't want to go, when the real truth is he is either, ashamed, embarrassed or afraid to be seen in public with another guy. Or is it because you are too feminne.
I would like you all to discuss with me some of your stories while we talk about todays topic.

The stigma behind homosexual Public display of affection (PDA) is relentless. For any straight couple, walking down the high street holding hands would not be of any issue, but you are looking at a completely different set of rules if you are gay holding your partners hand. Its ludicrous, we live in a age when it is seen as ignorant not accept homosexuality. Despite the views of others homosexuality is up close and in your face.
Double Standards in the world of homosexuality, when the public sees 2 women showing open displays of affection such as kissing it is some what ok, bit if 2 men lock lips some may want to cause harm because it is 2 men.
Let's talk about it.
Miriam Robbins Dexter, Ph.D., feminist scholar and advocate of Maria Gimbutas' theories, discusses the most important NEW RESEARCH on sacred female display objects -- what they represented to ancient people and the various manifestations around the world - as well as the little known sacred display female in Catal Hyouck, Turkey and the Chauvet Cave of Forgotten Dreams - and did you know, new findings show the hands in the cave were those of women!

http://www.santeeswapper.com When Gary Beadle looked up at the tall pine paneled wall of the Gulf Coast Council BSA Scout office he had an inspiration. Why not decorate the beautiful wall with a true council collection of memorabilia. He pitched the idea to the council board and Scout executive who were more than happy for him to undertake the project to commemorate the Boy Scouts of America's centennial celebration in 2010. Tonight on Scouting Hot Finds Radio we dive into the question of how he did it. Gary got retired professionals, families of deceased Scouters and even serious collectors to give him the pieces he needed to fill in the collection and he did the rest. You'll even hear me ask some thorny questions about what the diggers thought about him having an official letter of introduction from the Council Scout Executive. One of the reasons I wanted to bring Gary Beadle on to share his story is so that other collectors might be inspired to follow his example. The idea of working with the council and or camp to put up a permanent display should not be radical idea for Boy Scout memorabilia collectors. If Gary can do it so can you (and me!).
