NLDS EVE: @NYM_News from Instagram and guest host Billy Berler, a young die-hard Mets fan, are here to discuss and preview the New York Mets NLDS showdown vs the Los Angeles Dodgers. Mets fans from all over will chime in to discuss their beloved Mets for 30 minutes. Callers will be able to bring up any Mets' related topic and Billy and I will discuss it. The show should be able to have people calling in for 30 minutes, but after that, it'll just be Billy and I talking amongst ourselves. The actual show should be around 45 minutes though. Don't be the one to miss out.

The Mets 2015 regular season ended on a high note thanks to Curtis Granderson.
The N.L. East champs did not, however, wrap up their final week of play in optimal fashion as fans would have preferred.
On the west coast, the Los Angeles Dodgers took care of business winning 5 of their final 6 games to secure home field advantage through the upcoming NLDS.
The Mets, meanwhile, lost 5 of their last 6 games, as well as their last four home series, posting a 4-8 record in their final 12 games at Citi Field.
The 2nd place Nationals also earned a measure of consolation over the Mets. In a brilliantly dominating performance, Max Scherzer no-hit them in the first game of Saturday's (make-up game) double-header. Washington then completed a sweep in the nightcap.
Some question Terry Collins' strategy and implementation down the stretch, while others point to Yoenis Cespedes' decreased production as potential explanations for the team's recent slide.
The crew at Rising Apple will attempt to make sense of it all.
The omniscient Rich Sparago will host this evening's 119th episode of the Rising Apple Report. He'll be joined by site editor Danny Abriano, senior staff writer Michael Lecolant, and the Converted Mets Fan Sam Maxwell.
Together, they'll review the season that was, and discuss their major concerns as the Mets head into the post-season.
The show starts at 9pm (EST) sharp. As always, you're welcome to call and participate. The number is 646-929-0337.

Stephen Strasburg struck out 13 in a dominant performance, but gave up a game-tying home run in the eighth and Drew Storen came on and served up a go-ahead home run by Yoenis Cespedes as the New York Mets rallied again and swept the Nats with a 5-3 win in Nationals Park.
In the "Yoenis Cespedes is probably not the NL MVP but he is the MVP of our hearts" edition, Jeffrey and Steve try to make sense of the Mets sweep of the Nationals. Failing that, they babble incoherently about Yoenis Cespedes and answer e-mails about Dillon Gee and Eric Young jr, because BartYOLO.
The Rising Apple Report returns at 9pm ET for its 117th episode! Jack Ganchrow will host, with site editor Danny Abriano and staff writers Sam Maxwell and Brian Farrell joining them for all the piping hot 1st place Mets talk!
And 1st place the Mets do still reside in, and how lucky are we that they are only in a position on this offday for that to either change to 7 or 8 up? No matter whether the Mets could blow this, as our anxiety tells us is a potential for them to do, they can't on THIS offday that the Nats are playing, so let's bask in the current glory whilst awaiting the New York Yankees for what will most likely be the most juiced up Subway Series in regular season history.
On top of the current positives and negatives we wil all go over as we head into this weekend's series, we wil also discuss the the players to wear #17 in Mets history, as well as the 1917 Brooklyn Robins and New York Giants seasons.
So, join us at 9pm ET for the latest edition of the Rising Apple Report!
