At the age of nine she won the Calbery Writing Award at Cumberland Elementary School for her first book, The Best Camping Trip Ever. Since then Nkiyasi has written several more books. Amirah Johnson is a six year old first-grader who loves to talk and make people laugh. She wants to have her own talk show like Steve Harvey, support people and eventually be in a movie with Kevin Hart. She loves reading, swimming, her favorite food is spaghetti and her favorite color is green."

Tamika Newhouse is a self-published bestselling author who founded Delphine Publications, at the age of 21; Tamika appeared on various bestseller lists and won Self Published Author of the Year at the 2009 African American Literary Awards only 9 months after her debut novel. In 2010 she was inducted into Who's who in Black San Antonio and she landed a major publishing deal without an agent and still continues to write independent projects. In 2011 her company Delphine Publications won an African American Literary Award for Best Anthology as well as Tamika won for the second time Self Published Author of the Year. She was also nominated by the National Women in Business Association for the 2011 Entrepreneurial Spirit Award.Along with Delphine Publications, Tamika is the founder and President of African Americans on the Move Book Club (AAMBC) - an online book club and radio show catering to avid readers across the nation. She is also CEO of Obsessive Soul Media. With future projects in the works from short films, stage plays and much more, Tamika is a young woman on a mission.
Bengy Sherman currently resides in Fort Worth, TX where he has lived the majority of his adult life. He found the love and talent for writing while incarcerated. He felt that this was the way for him to change his life around. Hustler's Coalition is the first book he has ever written and will be published with Delphine Publications in 2014.

Author Byron Carey is a reformed drug distributer that served a ten year federal prison sentence was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He has transformed his way back into society as a truck driver and author. He was an outstanding basketball player that worked his way into the USBL basketball league in 2002. He attended Alvin Community College where he holds an Associates in Business Administration. He is the author of Nowhere 2 Turn with several more to come in the future.
Author Mohammed “Itchie-Mu” Anwo is an urban fiction author and the co-founder of Street Dedication Publishing which he started with his co-partner Hakeem Fleming. The first of six siblings, he quickly became involved with the streets at the age of 14, when his father, Mohammed Sr. was deported back to Africa due to a narcotic conviction. Author Itchie-Mu served 22 yrs of his life in prison, while sitting in his cell the last time he took a close and deep look into himself and he hated what he saw. Mohammad began reading novels to pass time, and then he came across a book called “How to Write Novels and Screenplays” and was instantly inspired. He began writing novels to both escape his reality and became good at it, at the same time, he vowed that once released he would never return. Author Mohammad “Itchie-Mu” Anwo is currently working on a host of novels and screenplays and looking forward to working with other authors with the hope of turning their novels into screenplays as well.

Author Fredrick A.O, Schwartz, Jr is the great-grandson of Frederick August Otto Schwarz, the founder the Fifth Avenue toy store. A Harvard Law School Graduate and former Chief Counsel to the United States Senate Committee on Intelligence, (or as it was formally known, the Senate Select Committee to Study Governmental Activities with Respect to Intelligence Activities), Chief Counsel of the Brennan Center and the winner of the 2014 Ridenhour Courage Prize, which is an award given to individuals to recognize their lifelong courageous work defending the public interest. He is currently Senior Counsel at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, Law Firm and the author of two books. Donisha Derice is an up and coming author bringing her creativity to life by penning tales of fiction. Born and raised in Indianapolis, IN, Donisha had only dreamed of being two things: a lawyer and a writer. Receiving degrees in Paralegal Studies, Criminal Justice, and Public Management, she worked as criminal defense paralegal for over four years. Jamie was born and raised in the Chicago Illinois. She fell in love with urban novels, after her mom gave her a book by Terry McMillian called-Mama. After reading that book she began to read another and at that very moment she knew that these were the kind of books that she wanted to write someday.
After the passing of her mom she began to write notebooks full of poems and short stories. She knew it was a way to cope with her pain, but at the same time she was building her writing skills. Growing up where people didn’t express their dreams she shied away from telling people that she wanted to be a Well-known Published Author someday.
Jamie is always looking to improve her writing craft. She is also a licensed Esthetician and licensed Food Server. She is well known in her community for these crafts as well. She has written two books with one on its way of being published called “Double Back”. She is currently working on a third and is looking to start, as a new blogger in the near future. She would like to tell everyone to always follow their dreams, always step out on faith it’s the best thing anyone could do. She is currently living in Chicago with her children and is brain storming on her future projects.
