Death Begins in the Digestive System

    in Self Help

The phrase “death begins in the colon” was commonly discussed in the early years of the natural health movement in the 1970’s and 80’s. It is really the whole digestive system that needs addressed, including the stomach. The subtlety of the digestive process is little understood by most people. Toxicity is a major cause of distress and ill health. Poor food choices and habits lead to indigestion and constipation, with an accumulation in the colon of gummy toxic residues. This leads to toxins being reabsorbed and recycled through out the body that irritate tissues and deteriorate organs. Detoxification and repopulation of the intestines with healthy probiotics are crucial for restoration of good health.

4 Paleo Foods to Avoid if You Struggle with Digestive Issues

    in Health

As one who has struggled with chronic digestive issues for over a decade, I have learned a thing or two about the relationship between food and the gut. I have spent the last 2 years experimenting with several types of diets, and I have found the Paleo lifestyle to work really well for me. My body seems to thrive on clean animal protein, fresh vegetables and a lot of healthy fats.

However, as I was healing my gut, I found that there were some healthy Paleo foods that needed to be avoided until my digestive system was functioning better.

If you’re struggling with digestive issues and you’re following a Paleo diet, try avoiding the types of foods below for 30 days. While all of these foods are Paleo-approved and very healthy, they tend to cause problems for those with digestive issues.

GOING WITH YOUR GUT: Looking at the System of Digestion to True Healing

GOING WITH YOUR GUT: Looking at the System of Digestion for the Cause to Modern Health Problems

To think that the intestines have anything to do with skin blemishes, defies logic. But that is exactly where most of the immune system is located—in that complex system of piping, bacteria, acid and villi, extending from the mouth to the anus. Its proper function is paramount to optimal health and, when stressed or inflamed, it becomes the place where much of disease is born.

Join us as we speak with Alexis Hugelmeyer, DO as she explains how your digestive system works and the miraculous transformation available when it’s fine-tuned to optimal function.

Dr. Hugelmeyer is the medical director and founder of the Suah Center for Natural Health in Riverhead NY; she is Board-Certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulation with a focus on prevention and wellness through life-style modification.

Meet Dr. Hugelmeyer and other top integrative, wellness-oriented and prevention-minded healers, authors and celebrities at the upcoming NAVELexpo.

Radio Show: Bought: The Movie -The Truth Behind Vaccines, Big Pharma & Your Food

    in Health

    In this show you’ll learn:

How the movie ‘Bought’ came to be
What Jeff and his company learned while making the film
Why you need to see this film

    Background:

Like the banks, the food and drug industries have grown more powerful and less transparent over time, and profit has become the primary motive. Hays may be best known for his 2012 documentary “Doctored,” which exposes how the medical and drug industry conspire to control the health care system.

Join Dr. Ritamarie and Jeff Hays as they discuss why you can’t effectively address one industry without addressing them all, as they are now inextricably linked. Until enough people raise their voices, nothing is likely to change.

Jeff Hays is a serial entrepreneur and filmmaker with a long, colorful history of visionary projects. He has been producing films for over twenty years and is best known for his controversial documentary “FahrenHype 9/11".

Jeff then produced “On Native Soil,” working as both producer and executive producer.

Host Petula Beckles Welcomes Lady C. J. Webb

    in Music

"In 1989, the doctor’s had given me up to die, due to a digestive tract disorder. How many know that prayer changes things? The doctors said my condition was common in old people and infants and they didn’t know much about it at the time. I went into major surgery to correct the problem. I know God is real, because the doctors that worked on me said I was just a walking dead person. I didn’t make the Lord any promises that I could remember, because I was not sure I could keep them. All I knew was that God was not through with me yet as I was only 20 years old and I had a 5 month old daughter to take care of. She is now 24 years old and has a daughter of her own. Look at GOD!!!! After 23 years, the problems are yet there, but I know that God has to keep us praying about something. I have since undergone 3 more surgeries one in 2011 and 2 other procedures in 2012. I’ve learned that God’s Grace enables me to live with and in spite of my thorn as Paul said in II Corinthians 12:9. I am looking forward to my Heavenly Blessings."

Theses are the words of Evangelist Missionary Cassaundra M. Jones Webb (Lady C. J. Webb). She is our special guest tonight on The Motif. Join us as she shares her story.
