Mary Barr’s creative mind keeps her busy as an accomplished Author, Artist and Custom Jewelry Designer.
As a Fiction Author, Mary’s preferred genres are juvenile, young adult, & adult. Writing in a variety of genres enables her stories to remain fresh, stimulating, & challenging. As each plot unfolds she knows the feelings, needs, personality and fears of her characters . . .
Mary Barr’s books are pure fiction; at no time is there any relevance to persons living or dead. Her many characterizations are as limitless as her imagination restricted merely by the hours in each day. Each new book presents itself in a clear and concise manner and she must immediately put pen to paper if she is to capture the story before it’s compromised. It is the characters who build the plot. Each story line is only as strong as the people it portrays.
Having traveled extensively and experienced life in different countries throughout the world, Mary Barr is able to draw on her life journey as she creates colorful and varied characters. It is these characters who once alive capture the reader’s imagination while enhancing her fast paced & compelling story line.
As an Artist, Mary Barr creates beautifully unique pieces. Her latest collection of wax artwork uses different canvases from cottons, linens to the more exotics. Her medium of boiling wax, pastels, gold leaf and fluorescence captures the brilliance of color flow. You will want to display her pieces in your home.
Custom Jewelry Design is another Mary Barr specialty. Using semi-precious stones, crystals & glass Mary creates comfortable & appealing pieces to be worn and cherished. Whether for everyday wear or for a special occasion Mary will create unique pieces, just for you.

If you’re torn between what makes you happy and what the world says you should do, Brigitte King’s story will inspire and encourage you to follow your heart and listen to the spirit longing to be expressed. Starting with cardboard and crayons, she persisted, rejecting pressures to become a scientist in Germany. America, specifically New York City, was just waiting for this intrepid interior designer!
Sometimes a soul comes it so determined and fired up that the genius just can’t be denied. Brigitte King was making things beautiful her way from age 3. From the very beginning, schooling pushed her in opposite directions. In Germany, biology, chemistry and physics were highly respected. Those college courses only reinforced her conviction that she was just born to be an interior designer.
