Peace Paradigm - Desiderata Read by Janet Kira Lessin

    in Spirituality

Hosted by Janet Kira Lessin & Sasha Lessin, Ph.D.

I was a young teenager when I first heard about Desiderata.  My hero, Gene Roddenberry, creator of Star Trek, had a copy of this poem on his office wall in a frame. I admired him and when I read it, knew it had inspired him in his walk through life.  I never forget it.  Hopefully, Desiderata will inspire you and you'll never forget it either.   http://aquarianradio.com/2013/02/desiderata-read-by-janet-kira-lessin/

    SNV Day 39 Practice # 39

    in Spirituality

Days 24 - 46 focus on Interpersonal change.  In order to create a peaceful world, we must learn to practice nonviolence with one another in our day-to-day interactions.
The thought for today is DIALOGUE.  Marianne Williamson describes a healthy society as one in which “those who disagree can do so with honor and respect for other people’s opinions, and an appreciation for our shared humanity.  Today, speak your truth quietyly and clearly but do not enter into the spirit of argument.
Mar. 9  DIALOGUE  A healthy society is one in which those who disagree can do so with honor and respect for other people’s opinions.  “Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others.” - Desiderata.  Today, speak up but do not enter into  the spirit of argument.
