Having discovered the Feminine Face of God and what that means for women, men and the species of Mother Earth, Karen became an emissary of the sacred feminine, combining spirituality, feminism and women’s empowerment to offer the world a real alternative to the domination and oppression of patriarchy — the rule of men and the authoritarian father. Her work has taken the form of tours to sacred sites of Goddess around the world, teaching, giving workshops and messages from the pulpit, writing books and she’s the host of her own radio show, Voices of the Sacred Feminine for the last 8 years discussing issues of sex, power, politics and religion.
Goddess Alive Radio is the weekly Blogtalk Radio show for the MotherHouse of the Goddess and is hosted by Kimberly F. Moore & Tracey Paradiso (the Creator and Co-Creator) of the MotherHouse of the Goddess.
"Faking it until you make it"...six steps to gaining credibility as a startup.
You may envision launching your startup in a hip exposed brick office with white board covered walls and employees working in beanbag loungers.
In REALITY, most startups begin with one or two founders in basements, garages and cramped apartments. Where you work doesn’t really matter, but how you present yourself to the entrepreneurial community does.
Today Danielle Tate, founder and CEO of MissNowMrs.com, the leading online name change service for brides, stops by to share her six steps to gaining credibility as a startup.
Listen up! You might learn something you can use...
Marvin Tate has the makings of a legend. He's picked out a crooked path between hard-won lesson and spiritual revelation. He has an academic background in writing, acting, singing and musical theater, but his mythic, nicknamed-riddled brand of storytelling began as largely unrehearsed, spontaneous recitations to family members and kids at school. The youngest of six (including a fraternal twin), Marvin quoted Gwendolyn Brookes at 11, improvised lines, repeating protean fables whispered to him by the ghosts who fill his textural world. His balancing act between possession and exorcism has spanned decades -- once known as "Chinaman," a poet cracking jokes and fabricating tales in the gangway and on the playground, considered by most a madman, a preacher.
Tonight our guest is Prof. Jann Aldredge Clanton, feminist theologian, ordained in the Alliance of Baptists, she ministers in ecumenical and interfaith settings and co-chairs the national ecumenical, multicultural Equity for Women in the Church Community. We'll be chatting about her new book, She Lives! Sophia Wisdom Works and her participation in the anthology I edited of former VSF Radio show guests, Voices of the Sacred Feminine: Conversations to ReShape Our World. We'll be talking about all the ways laypeople and clergy are creating a "new normal" using the Female Divine in their communities - using ritual, song, and liturgy - which speaks to the head, heart and psyche. We are in the revolution - have no doubt!

When I think of the goodness of Jesus and all that He has done for me my soul cries out Hallelujah, I thank and praise God for Saving Me. We will be coming out of Psalms chapter 9. I think that United States needs to think about where God has brought us from and we need to get back into the business of praising God.
Tonight we'll delve into the Lupa or She-Wolf stories of Etruscan Rome, often forgotten when unearthing history and sidelined instead for Romulus and Remus, said to be the founders of Rome. Poet Susan Hawthorne, author of the new book, Lupa and Lamb will chat with us about how animals, women and goddesses are portrayed, what we're remembered for and being more inventive in our approach to storytelling and poetry. We'll see how the She-Wolf, equated with prostitution was demonized by Christianity and we'll learn about Sheep Goddesses! We'll talk about how the lamb becomes the icon of Christianity and the pervasiveness of rape stories, persecution, beheadings and torture --- not pretty - but let's look at it anyway! Really looking forward to Susan's story about a wolf woman who is 300,000 years old and the poem, They Call Women Monsters! Sit back with a cup of tea and enjoy!
