Tonight I want to talk about prepper depression. Are you suffering? Have you suffered? More importantly what do you do to cope with it? There are moments in my own life when I get down into a hole because the future looks so bleak. I get afraid for my children and their children. I want recovery and success but I also understand that before that can really happen we have to have some growing pains. Its easy to pretend like nothing phases you and life is all coming up roses but if you are in the preparedness world and you make it your business to understand and mitigate threats than you better have a method to blow off steam. Otherwise you could wind up on the news as one of these crazy mass shooters who cracked under the pressure of life.

    in Motivation

We all seem to know what depression is and what it does. Maybe even why we are depressed. That time that we are in depression is truly a very special time in so many ways. The rawness of depression and the results of depression set the pace for the next part of your life, yet why do we feel so so horrible during that process? What is going on in our heads and why the defeated feelings that make us feel like we are not able to get up, sleep, eat none at all or eat too much and feel like we have no plans, goals, things to look forward to and a life that has meaning? What happens after the depression? We tend to trench ourselves so deeply in depression that the way out is something we cannot see. Psalm 64: A Mighty Weapon for Thwarting Curses and Depression

    in Christianity

Many in the Body of Christ and in the world battle opposition, depression, gossips and other attacks meant to deplete your strength and steal your joy.  2 Corinthians 10 tells us that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.  Psalm 64 is one of those mighty weapons in our arsenal against demonic attacks.  Join Voices on Fire for Christ as Pastor Pete Torres teaches us how to weild the mighty sword of the Spirit to rout attacks of the enemy.
