The TalentCulture #TChat Show is back live on Wednesday, February 26, 2014. #TChat Radio starts at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT) and the convo continues on #TChat Twitter chat from 7-8 pm ET.
Last week we talked about improving the quality of hire via reference checks and better interviewing, and this week we’re talking about the “Year of the Employee.”
Quite appropriate and not a moment too soon. As we learned last week, Virgin Pulse’s survey showed that most employees either “love” or feel "pretty good" about their company because it’s a great place to work — but only a quarter of them say they feel love in return.
However, according to this week’s guest, companies in 2014 will focus on the top priorities of retention, engagement, and “attraction of talent,” for the first time in nearly a decade. Plus, more than 60% of organizations say dealing with “the overwhelmed employee” is the biggest.
Time for talent to take the power back!
Join #TChat co-creators and hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we learn more about the year of talent with this week’s guest: Josh Bersin, Founder and Principal at Bersin by Deloitte, leading provider of research-based membership programs in human resources (HR), talent and learning.
A special thank you to our sponsors: Virgin Pulse, Dice, and TalentWise.

#TChat Radio is all new on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at 7:30 pm ET (4:30 pm PT).
According to Bersin by Deloitte, 2013 looks to be a decent year of global growth, but for HR and talent leaders it will also continue to present a myriad of challenges. Bersin by Delloite research shows that organizations are struggling to create a global leadership pipeline, train leaders locally, develop strategic mobility programs, and deepen core technical skills across industries. In fact, a greater skills imbalance will further exacerbate what businesses need and waht they can find in the labor market.
This week's Tuesday #TChat Radio Show (March 19, 2013) welcomes Josh Bersin, Founder and Principal at Bersin by Deloitte, leading provider of research-based membership programs in human resources (HR), talent and learning. Then we'll continue to the conversation on our weekly Wednesday #TChat Twitter forum (March 20, 2013 at 7pmET).

(From Dr. Lombardo)
This I Believe… I believe that, deep down, people are good. Their true selves are prevented from shining because of things like stress, difficult experiences, conditional self-confidence, poor coping skills, and ineffective communication. Fortunately all of those can be changed. That is what I help my clients do. I believe in the vital importance of your mental edge. After getting a Master’s in Physical Therapy from Duke University and practicing PT, I realized that all positive change in life – including physical rehabilitation – requires the right mindset. And that mindset is a skill that can be learned with the right training. This spurred by return to school to get a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. I believe in True Success™. This goes beyond financial comfort to actualize satisfaction in the 7 key areas of your life. I believe in the power of gratitude. I am so grateful for what I do: Speaking: To companies (such as Deloitte, UBS, Sidley Austin, Zappos) and organizations (Society for Human Resources & TEDx). Coaching: Working with clients to create their True Success ™. Media: You may have seen me on TODAY Show, Dr. Oz, The Steve Harvey Show or CNN or read my advise in Wall Street Journal, Forbes or Better Homes and Gardens. Writing: My newest bestseller is called Better Than Perfect: 7 Steps to Crush your Inner Critic and Create a Life You Love. I believe in you. It is my goal to help people before they need the proverbial shrink couch. I teach research-supported skills to help you create the life you truly want.” http://elizabethlombardo.com/
