This is a controversial discussion about the conduct of women in the church! Why is there a seduction spirit among women in the church? Why are some men saying that some of the biggest "Freaks" are in the church and the church is a "player's paradise?" Why are the clothing, becoming more sexier and carnal???
Upon releasing her debut EP, “Mantra” in 2008, Sheri was named one of Music Connection Magazine's "Hot 100 Unsigned Artists",and asked to join a 4-part vocal harmony group, The Delilahs, which signed to Sony Records.Since leaving the group, Sheri has opened shows for Shawn Mullins, locally for Norah Jones and Lady Gaga, and written with writer J.D. Sheri Miller is a New York gal with many songs in her heart and she is sharing them with the world.
Her new release, Winning Hand, was produced by legendary Kevin Killen (U2, Peter Gabriel) and contains some fine tuneage.
Prior to this album, Sheri was asked to join a 4-part vocal harmony group in Nashville, The Delilahs, which soon signed to Sony Music. Sheri began co-writing with icon J.D. Souther (The Eagles), Jill Sobule, Shawn Mullins, Marcus Hummon (Dixie Chicks), Al Anderson (NRBQ) and others, but her need to express her voice was powerful and she left the Delilahs to bring her voice to the masses.
I will sit with Sheri and talk about her life, her career and what she sees in her future, all while playing music from Winning Hand.
Then we bring you Mr. Brad Webb. Brad was scheduled a few weeks back, but had to reschedule due to his schedule.
You see, Brad is H-U-G-E here in Memphis. Beginning at age 17, Brad has been around the music scene in Memphis, except for his stint in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
Brad has teamed with Blind Mississippi Morris since 1986, producing, writing and playing with Morris. Some of the other great artists Brad has produced include Willie Foster, Fred Sanders, John Weston, the Eric Hughes Band, Robert "Nighthawk" Tooms and The Wampus Cats.
Brad is a wonderful guitarist and has been a mentor to many including josh Roberts, the guitar phenom who now plays with Reba Russell.
I am excited to talk music history with Brad and listen to some of the music he has helped create over the years.
