    Under the Radar South Bay

    in Current Events

Our guest this morning is Constance Dunn.

Constance is an author and columnist who reports on her favorite South Bay spots as a contributing

freelance writer for South Bay Digs.

An East Coast transplant, Constance marvels at the fact that she lives in the nation's most populous

county, yet can bike to the grocery store and watch the sun set over the ocean.

She loves to frequent - and enthusiastically share information about - the many soulful, tucked-away

    spots in our beautiful backyard.

And that’s exactly what we’re going to talk about today – Under the Radar South Bay.

Green Bay Packers report card 2015 - Linebackers

    in Sports

The Green Bay Packers had a defense that allowed some yards but found a way to create turnovers and keep opponents out of the end zone. Unfortunately, this Packers defense will be remembered for the breakdown in overtime against Arizona, in the NFC Divisional playoff round. That breakdown led to a first and goal and eventual touchdown by Larry Fitzgerald.

Statistically, the Packers finished 15th in total yards and 12th in points allowed. Julius Peppers found enough gas to have another productive year leading the Packers with 10.5 sacks. As a unit, the Packers tied for seventh in sacks with 43. Clay Matthews was asked to man the middle of the defensive, and still produced 6.5 sacks. Middle linebacker became and issue once again when Sam Barrington went down with injury. Jake Ryan, a fourth round pick, worked his way into the starting lineup.

    South Bay Galleria Holiday Events

    in Current Events

Our guests this morning are Sher Haddon, Marketing Manager of South Bay Galleria, Sam Kartonian, owner of Tic Time and Redondo Beach Watch Company, Angela Berardo, VP Store Manager for Macy's at South Bay Galleria and Wilhelmina Webber, Store Manager of The 4th Basement.

Sher Haddon is currently the Marketing Manager of the Redondo Beach regional mall, South Bay Galleria, a Forest City Enterprises property. Sher has been with Forest City working in mall marketing since 2007, and has been with South Bay Galleria since 2012. Sher is a graduate of Leadership Redondo, Class of 2013, serving as the Co-Class Leader. In addition, she is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and Shopping Centers of Southern California Association. Sher also currently serves on the executive board of the North Redondo Beach Business Association and is a proud resident of Redondo Beach.

Sam Kartonian is the owner of Tic Time and Redondo Beach Watch Company. Sam wanted to turn his family's small retail watch store into a hip and trendy watch fashion accessory store. In order to make it a success however, he knew that he had to change the current business model. So he went back to school, created a business plan, and then rebranded his family business emphasizing on watches as a lifestyle.  Since then, Sam has grown his business to three locations along with a strong presence online with ecommerce.

At the last minute, Angela Berardo and Wilhelmina Webber decided to join us and I didn’t have time to get their bios written up – my bad.

This morning we’re going to hear about what South Bay Galleria has up its sleeve for the holiday season!

Lilly Swardstrom is Partner and President of PixelFish. Prior to co-founding PixelFish, her experience in production included working with HBO, CAA and NBC, before transitioning to DIRECTV Original Entertainment. At DIRECTV, Lilly’s achievements included securing a slate of programs including both reality and scripted programming. She was able to build on this knowledge while working at PixelFish, where she was able to gain valuable insight into advertising, UGC and the evolving future of entertainment and marketing. As part of the executive team, she was the primary liaison with its largest partners, producing commercials and videos for both television and Internet platforms. She acquired PixelFish in 2012. Elisabeth obtained her degree in Communications and Liberal Studies at the University of Washington, with a minor in Political Science. In her free time, you will most likely find Lily volunteering at a non-profit organization or working with homeless, children or displaced veterans. She also values the time she is able to spend with her family and friends.

    In Delaware, they shoot Negros

    in Politics

In late August of 2015 in Dover Delaware a 21 year old man, Terrence Fletcher wanted for failure to appear on drug charges ran from police and was shot, reportedly without challenge or warning. The shooting may have been justified. Dover Police handling of the aftermath raises serious issues.
Then another Dover man, Mr. Kemp reportedly shot an AK type semi-auto rifle into the air running from the road to his house, allegedly threatened police and his family creating a standoff. Police also told the press that Mr. Kemp was seen outside his home with the weapon and initially refused to drop it, after further discussion put his rifle down but would not comply and had to be taken into custody by using a taser.
Following the Kemp incident, a horrific video recorded the fatal shooting of a wheelchair bound man Wilmington Delaware. Blog page can be seen at http://troubleindover.blogspot.com/2015/09/in-delaware-they-shoot-negroes.html .  These events amount to throwing gasoline on what some would call Delaware burning.
