Our topic for today's show will be living in courage. I'll be playing a song titled "Feeling Numb" by my son, Zander DeNador, during the show. The song is about how we feel numb unless we are willing to take some risks. It is when we are willing to move through our fear of what is next that we feel fully alive and are able to feel the joy of living with courage.

Wes, Adam, and the returning Nick Clementi cover the week that was in A's baseball.
First we talk about Jeff Samardzija's debut as an Oakland A.
Then at 8:40 we talk about the 6 A's who were named to the All-Star team
At 9, we start our Battle of the Bay Preview.
And then at 9:30 we start our free forum where you decide the topic.
Adam and Wes will be doing their best to capture the awful week of A's baseball that unfortunatley came upon us. Is it time to hit the panic button? Was this stretch of games just bound to happen? Will the A's recover in time ahead of the monster series against the Angels?
We will also preview the Mets series. How vital is it for the A's to win both games of this 2 game set? Bartolo won't be pitching in front of the Coliseum crowd, but are you excited to see Bartolo in person?
Also, Section 148 has just begun the preorders for their latest t-shirt "By Fans, For Fans," aka "B3F" and order now and you'll be entered to win a Jose Canseco autographed baseball. Photos of the men's and ladies versions of the shirt are included in the slide show. http://www.section148.com/product/by-fans-for-fans

Not much for topical issues this week, we'll cover odds and ends and run a rare OPEN PHONES hour for our first hour on the podcast. On a small level we'll cover the Oakland A's slide following a blockbuster trade of Yoenis Cespedes for the Red Sox' Ace Jon Lester. Has it not been worth the trade so far after the A's lost 7 of 8 games? Will the A's still be confident they made the right choice following the dog days of summer? That AND Kevin on the Cape back with Dave for an extended "Random Questions" in Hour 2 or even earlier. Dave is going to owe Kevin a big apology! Special note: The title of the show has nothing to do with anything. Next week is our NFL Preview podcast.
