Our special guests are CEOs Idan Shpizear and Vincent Zurzolo. Idan Shpizear is a true “coming to America” success story. Having recognized the growth potential of the restoration industry in 2007, Idan and friend Peleg Lindenberg decided to start 911 Restoration with little more than $3,500 and a used Volvo for an office. Success was not easy in the early days, and especially in the depths of the great recession, but through perseverance, ingenuity and good business sense the company grew and began franchising. Now there are branches in all major cities around the country and Canada providing people in need with high quality restoration services.
You can visit Idan online at http://911Restoration.com.
Vincent Zurzolo is one of the world’s most foremost experts on vintage comic books and original comic art. His company, Metropolis Collectibles, is the largest dealership for vintage comic books in the world. Over the last 30 years he has been dealing in vintage comics and art work. In 1999, he merged companies with his partner Stephen Fishler to continue growing their company. In 2007 they started their auction/consignment company, ComicConnect.com which holds the world record for the most expensive comic ever purchased, Action Comics 1, for $3.2 million. Along with his partner Stephen Fishler and curator Rob Pistella, Vincent Zurzolo started Metropolis Gallery, the first gallery in NYC dedicated to comic book and fantasy art in April 2015.

Porsha & Mercedes are a new yet classic Hip Hop sensation.
Within the last few years, they have decided to share their gifts with the music
community and the response has been sensational. According to Yo Raps
Magazine, "making music about female empowerment and sensual topics,
Porsha and Mercedes will be greater than a gimmick to sell songs."
Porsha & Mercedes pride themselves on staying true to who they are.
The topics of their songs range from heartbreak, to living in America, to just having fun and being goofy; and they always have that undeniable element of realness. Their raw yet unpolished style earned them an Underground Music Awards' nomination for "Most Original Rap
Group" as well as consistent plays on Power 105.1FM. Their hits have been spun by New York's hottest DJ's including DJ Envy, DJ Self, and DJ SussOne.
Cars, just like everything else in the economy, have to be advertised to get sold. While a major chunk of the advertising would be done by the manufacturer of the car itself, auto dealers also have to put in their money to make sure that sales happen. Statistics from NADA (National Automobile Dealers Association) show that auto dealers spend over $7.2 billion dollars a year on advertising alone. For one car, that works out to an average of $621 through traditional advertising channels. This would include pay-per-click ads on the Internet, mailers, advertisements in the Yellow Pages as well as magazines, newspapers, and also advertisements in television and the radio. This is a lot of money to be spending on selling one car alone! While this may be a bitter truth for auto dealers to swallow, it is the true cost of auto dealer marketing if approached through traditional marketing channels. What is the alternative?
By choosing non-traditional methods, auto dealers can significantly cut costs on their advertising revenues while increasing the number of cars sold. This can be achieved through internet marketing, which is what we, at Video Broadcast Services specialize in.
We are video marketing experts and create advertising videos that are tailored to your own auto dealership and the brand and make of car that needs to be advertised. We ensure these videos are optimized for search engine tracking so they get to be seen by the people you want to target to buy vehicles at your dealership. We ensure these videos are targeted specifically at people at the locations in which your dealership is located.

Patrick and Courtney Hennessey decided to start the Be Less Typical podcast to pull open the curtains on an industry that has a bad rap, and offer you a line of sight into what it’s really like to work on the front lines of a car dealership.
Patrick worked in small dealerships and in large dealer groups. He even spent a few years working on the corporate side of the business.
Courtney has also spent many years inside the dealership, mostly in the Finance Department. She is a teacher by trade and now has a corporate position where she combines her background in teaching with her expertise in automotive. Her greatest strength is her ability to bridge the gap between the retail environment and the corporate world. She brings insights to both environments, helping to push each to the next level.
