Meet Candice DeLong, retired FBI Profiler, best-selling author and host/commentator on "I.D. Investigation Discovery" Channel's "Deadly Women" and "Facing Evil" and our newest Jessie Foster supporter. Earlier in life, before she became an FBI criminal profiler, Candice DeLong was a psychiatric nurse at Northwestern University Hospital in Chigago, Illinois. At age 28 she was a divorced, single mom of a son and she was looking for a new career, so in 1980 she attended the FBI training academy in Quantico, Virginia. At that time, she was only 1 of 7 female recruits and she worked in the FBI's Chicago office after graduation. Candice uses humor to ease tensions while working, as we can all imagine the horror she has seen and does not need to live with daily. Candice has stated that her three career goals were, and she has succeeded in doing all of them: 1) To be involved with a high-profile national criminal ... Chicago Tylenol murders. 2) To apprehend a serial killer ... The Unabomber. 3) To rescue a kidnap victim alive ... California kidnapping case. Following her July 2000 retirement from the FBI, Candice published a book entitled Special Agent: My Life on the Front Lines as a Woman in the FBI. In the book, she discusses the criminal profiling process and how she helped solve high-profile cases. She also dedicated a chapter in her book to personal safety, stating that "Prevention can be as simple as a deadbolt lock on your house."

Choose a deadbolt lock over a spring-latch lock. The spring-latch lock is far easier for burglars which are experienced in "loiding." Loiding refers back to the methodology where a plastic card like a bank card is slipped in opposition to the latch tongue with a view to depress it, which is ready to unlock your door. The deadbolt will prevent an assault like this. Deadbolts are susceptible only when there might be plenty of house in between your door and your door frame for intruders to make use of hacksaws or power tools. visit our website
