Bio: I am a retired Texas Peace Officer with over 21 years (1973-1994) as such. I also was a contractor/agent for the FBI and CIA for 10 years (1994-2004) after retiring from active law enforcement. Then I went to work for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (2005-present). My books are based on my life and career as a cop, and then as an contracting federal agent for the federal authorities as an International Bounty Hunter/Assassin, hence the reason I write about my life in fiction. I wish I could do a real bio on myself, but that's totally out of the question. I write a series actually, referred to as the "DANE" novels.
Book one's title,"Dane, a life and time thereof: First Bounty", takes the reader from my age of 12 years through to the end of my first international bounty case.
Book two's title,"Dane: Saigon J.U.M.P.", takes the reader all over southeast Asia going after a bad guy wanted back here in the U.S. It is soon to be released.
This series is a total of 7 books altogether to complete it. Now, I write my books in such a way that they are actually linked to one another. So, if you were to get book 5 to read, it will say things I talked about in previous stories that won't make sense without having the others, one through 4, to better understand what I am talking about in book 5, and so on. It's very hard to write in such a way, believe me, but I found it best if I really want to give the reader the full story of my life and career that has now spaned over 41 years. Actually if you add from age 12 as my books start you have a life put on paper that spans 53 years, and I am currently 61. I'll be 62 in February, 2015. http://www.hoofard.us http://www.amazon.com/authorscircle

Our guests this morning are Kris D’Errico from Bella Beach and Laura Mandracchia from the Cake Bake Shop.
Kris Mackerer D'Errico is a 38-year resident of Manhattan Beach. A graduate of Robinson Elementary, Center Middle School and Mira Costa High School, she received her degrees in Communications and Theater from the University of Colorado in Boulder.
In 2011, Chef Laura Mandracchia became the owner of Cake Bakeshop. Laura comes from a long line of bakers as both her grandmother and great grandmother were bakers in Denmark. Her greatest culinary influence and hero is her Mormor (mother’s mother in Danish). Whether they were making something as simple as coffee and pastry, going to the Farmers Market or the “olive oil guy” in Napa, food was always there. She taught Laura that sometimes you need “just a little bit - not too much “ when adding that special ingredient.

DON'T TAKE SAND TO THE BEACH:
Confirm my schedule when you are going on vacation and you already have plans but your mate has other plans and already assume that the first day of vacation you will be spending it with them, "wrong answer" Devin had been working two jobs for a while and his vacation had just started; Dena his girlfriend had made plans for them to spend the whole day together, but Devin had other plans.
He did not want to let Dena down, but he had made plans to attend a summer beach party with Chuck and Antonio, his buddies. So off to the beach party he went, drinking and having a great time, a much needed great time; meanwhile Dena showed up and asked why did he break their plans and she wanted to stay at the party with him. Devin told her she needed to go home because he was with his boys and besides you don’t bring sand to the beach. This instantly upset Dena who begin to cry and threaten to not be around when he returned from the party.
Should Devin had let Dena stay or was he right for sending her away? Let's discuss this very real situation on COCKTAIL CONVERSATIONS with The Controversial Counselor.
