    Daydream Believers-Daisy Prescott Bestselling Author

    in Art

In our Daydream Believers Series, today I talk with Daisy Prescott.  Daisy dreamed of writing a book.  That dream became a reality when she accepted a writing challenge and not only penned a book but that book became a published bestseller!  Wow, all it took was the courage to accept the challenge.  Now her books are available all around the world in a number of languages. We will talk with Daisy today!

Before writing contemporary romantic comedies,  Daisy worked in the world of art, auctions, antiques, and home decor. I earned a degree in Art History despite being convinced she would major in English and endured a brief stint as a film theory graduate student. Over the years she has acquired many titles: baker, art educator, antiques dealer, content manager, blue ribbon pie maker, fangirl, blogger, freelance writer, gardener, wife, and pet mom are a few of them.

Born and raised in San Diego, she and her husband currently live in a real life Stars Hollow in the Boston suburbs with their dog, Hubbell, and an imaginary house goat.

Ready to Fall, her second novel, features John Day, the hot, sexy neighbor in Geoducks. She busy researching my next novel, which will not feature any bivalves.http://daisyprescott.com

    ep 1. camp mackinasset jams.

    in Indie Music

on this episode i will be playing:

hibou- beach fossils- minks- mac demarco- wild nothing.

the show will start off with hibou. a small band out of seatle, hibou has created some of the catchiest music i have heard in a while. smooth lyrics and euphoric tones make me dream to these tracks. similar to hibou, beach fossils also dabbles in the chiller side of music. my personal favorite, daydream, makes me a feel weightless as my speedometer climes to mach 9 when i cruise down the 210. minks. i first head minks in a snowoboard film called defenders of awesome, by capita, when mike rav blessed me with funeral song. and for the past year i have been humming the beat during all kines classes. mac demarco comes through with lyrics that you wish you thought of. his popularity has grown substantialy as of lately due to songs like ode to viceroy and treat her better. the show will conclude with wild nothing. living in dreams was the first song i heard from them as i watched the cliche in california skate board video. nocturne, my favorite album from jack tatum, gives for some of the easiest melodies. see you next summer.

Adrienne Taylor, Makayla Lynn & Marshal Reign

    in Music

Joining me on this episode are three talented Canadian Country artists: Ontario's Adrienne Taylor, Nova Scotia's Makayla Lynn and Saskathewan's country duo Marshal Reign.

Being raised on a farm, 24-year-old Adrienne Taylor grew up riding dirt bikes, driving trucks in fields, shooting guns and running through cornfields. Her first job was raising chickens on her farm and selling eggs door-to-door. Adrienne’s father Brent, who is a guitar player and singer, decided to teach Adrienne how to sing. At an early age, she was influenced musically by Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley. By age 14, she performed "Sweet Home Alabama" with her father’s band at a local event. Adrienne's latest song is called Backwoods Saturday Night.

Barely a teenager, Makayla Lynn has already penned over 50 songs and has completed recording her third album called Daydream in Nashville which was released in June 2014. The album has been nominated for the IMEA Country Album of the Year as well as Music Nova Scotia's Country Recording of the Year. She has been fortunate enough to spend time and share stages with Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Tim McGraw and others. Makayla's latest song is called Don't Quit Your Daydream.

Marshal Reign has been burning up the road playing bars, festivals, speedways and arenas. Their blue collar attitude and high energy sound is exciting fans from Michigan to Southern California and even as far away as Germany. They continue to energize traditional country music fans as well as people who never thought they would ever listen to country music. Marshal Reign is comprised of Jason McNabb & Eric Wicks. Their latest song is called Want It With You.

    Daydream Believers-Mary Palmerin Author

    in Art

Special thank you to my guest Co-Host Michele http://colormegreysessed.wordpress.com

Welcome Mary Palmerin, 26 years young and have been writing for as long as she can remember, scribbling fairy tales down on notebook paper as a young girl, writing poetry as a teen, and creating many short stories in between, all of which she has kept.

"Debut, "Succumbing to Scars and Sorrow" (book 1 of the Sorrow Series) in August 2013. It is boundary pushing and taboo, but I wrote it with sensitivity and grace. Giving women like Lyla a voice is important to me, because they deserve a place in the world of HEA. I released my prequel novella, "Secrets of a Broken Girl" in December 2013. It tells the story of Lyla's heartbreaking journey from the beginning of her troubles. I wanted to provide insight to my readers on the depth of her sorrow, painting a clearer picture of why she is the way she is. My second novel, "Shadows of Scars and Sorrow" (book 2 of the Sorrow Series) is due to be released in April 2014. It is told from my male lead's POV, and I am anxious to put it in the hands of my readers!"

Mary is a tattoo lover, coffee addict, and a fangirl of many fictional men!

    Laws of Attraction At Work

    in Motivation

The Law of Attraction is manifested first in your mind and then in your life. The task for someone just getting to know about the Law of Attraction is understanding opportunities presented. Recently I had a delightful interaction with a stranger that I am convinced was the manifestation of an idea that I have been pondering. I never learned about the correct way to manage money and I have been imagining what is necessary to reach my financial goals. I believe that if I could spend time with someone who is well-versed in finances who is interested in me as a person and we could talk without reservations, I could relax and follow suggestions that would help me financially

Well I ran into someone, literally, in a an unlikely place, SAM's - a warehouse subsidary of WaltMart, where one can get a very reasonable quick marginally nutrious lunch for pennies on a dollar. I was coming from a local college campus and was anticipating the next thing after lunch when I "clipped off" a gentleman walking beside me and he grabbed my arm and demanded to know what was my hurry. I was truly sorry to have almost made him fall and was also immediately aware of my "hurriedness". I tried to explain why I  was in such a hurry and frankly I had no reason. Because he slowed me down, I sat and shared conversation and lunch with him. And yes, you guessed it, he is a person who knows a lot about insurance and finances; has served on ethics boards pertaining to insurance and bonds. There I had "run over" the very type of person who I had been imagining and wanting to sit and talk with in a non-threatening environment.Equally nice is despite being of retirement age, 75, he still has his license and he keeps abreast of current polices.

I am delighted to see the manifestation of my daydream musing and I am looking forward to maturing a friendship with my SAM's warehouse lunch date. Be open to receive what you attracting.
