Please listen in as Maurita Miller, a foster parent from North Carolina and founder of In Our Shoes Inc., describes her experience with her youth who "aged-out" of foster care. She describes how she was told "if she kept a youth who emancipated form foster care in her home, the other foster youth in her home would be placed into a different home." She also poses several important questions, such as:
- If we are going to extend foster care to 21, what are we going to change about the system? Are we going to just prolong what happens to young adults at age 18 to when they are 21?
- What are we doing to help insure that youth are not going straight into homeless shelters or the judicial system, because they do not have a place to stay after they emancipate?
- How are we going to increase normalcy for teens in foster care (hanging out with friends, first hand learning experiences, driving education, etc.)?
Please comment with your thoughts below

Attorney Sarah Avraham and writer Bennet Pomerantz discuss the subjects of the day.
The audience should know that although Ms. Avraham is a licensed attorney, she is not offering legal advice in any capacity, is not establishing an attorney/client relationship with anyone listening to the show, and recommends that any listener of the show consult a local attorney for any legal advice they may require.
This show is about us discussing hot topics and how they relate to the law. Despite opposition from a wide range of groups (AARP, veterans, journalists, and animal welfare advocates to name a new), North Carolina lawmakers have overriden the governor’s veto of a bill that allows businesses to sue employees who expose what happens on the job, even if it what they are exposing is illegal. Why are bills like this making their way across the country? What does this mean for the “everyman”? Tune in to hear our hosts answer these and other questions on this issue.
Mind of Mansion Podcast Episode 161: Matt Kelley @fantasy_mansion reviews Davante Adams, Ty Montgomer, and Jeff Janis in the wake of Jordy Nelson's torn ACL.
Mourning Jordy Nelson was one of the NFL's most efficient wide receivers given consistently high target volume.
Ty Montgomery crashes a Jeff Janis dance party.
Per Pro Football Focus, Aaron Rodgers' passer rating when throwing to Jordy Nelson was 150.2, 130.3, 111.6 and 128.2 over the past four seasons.
Arian Foster will be back to full health before most fantasy gamers believe.
Arian Foster's ADP collapsed based on inaccurate or unknowable details about his injury and related surgery, but he is now a screaming value.
If Le'Veon Bell is worth a first round pick, then Arian Foster is worth a fourth round pick.
Jeff Janis is the only wide receiver with a split end/X receiver profile on the Green Bay Packers roster.
Ty Montgomery and Davante Adams are clones and are the two most comparable wide receivers on the PlayerProfiler.com.
Ty Montgomery's junior year production at Stanford helped to illuminate his potential at the NFL level.
Based on role fit, Ty Montgomery is a bigger threat to Davante Adams than Jeff Janis longer term.

Join us this week as we welcome country music singer songwriter, Ryan Broshear. Ryan is the living breathing embodiment of Country Music. From growing up on a farm to paying his dues in smoky nightclubs, he experienced love and loss while chasing his dream of music. His entire life has been set to the soundtrack of a classic country song. After scoring some hits with his self-titled album from 2012 (like “I Don’t Mind” and “Make Each Moment Last”), Ryan Broshear returns with his new just released six track EP "Paint It Red" (Painted Horse Records). Each of the songs on his new EP, including the mid tempo melodic “Spin Me” and radio-ready anthem “Friday Night In A Small Town”, is written or co-written by Broshear except for “Boots,” a song producer Daniel Agee co-wrote with Justin Weaver. While solidly a neb-traditionalist type of artist, "Paint It Red" showcases how such an artist can release music which is both traditionally-minded and contemporary at the same time. The new EP album from Ryan is available now at all fine digital outlets. We will talk to Ryan about his upcoming schedule, get a behind the scenes look at his music, feature his latest songs, and ask him to share his message for the troops. Please be sure to visit Ryan Broshear at http://www.ryanbroshear.com/ and spread the word. Fans are welcome to call in and speak live with Ryan during the show (718) 766-4193. If you would like to participate in the live chat during the show, you must sign up on the show site first and then log in during the show. And as always we will give shout outs to our deployed military listeners. Be sure to join us, Sunday 8/30/2015 at 4 PM EDT! Our message to the troops: WE do what we do, because YOU do what you do.
