Please listen in as Maurita Miller, a foster parent from North Carolina and founder of In Our Shoes Inc., describes her experience with her youth who "aged-out" of foster care. She describes how she was told "if she kept a youth who emancipated form foster care in her home, the other foster youth in her home would be placed into a different home." She also poses several important questions, such as:
- If we are going to extend foster care to 21, what are we going to change about the system? Are we going to just prolong what happens to young adults at age 18 to when they are 21?
- What are we doing to help insure that youth are not going straight into homeless shelters or the judicial system, because they do not have a place to stay after they emancipate?
- How are we going to increase normalcy for teens in foster care (hanging out with friends, first hand learning experiences, driving education, etc.)?
Please comment with your thoughts below

I'm your host, Jake Ryan, and this week we have our first guest EVER, Phase 5. they are an international pop sensation that has captured the hearts of countless fans in every country their music reaches. We are going to start the show off by introducing you to one of their headline songs to give you a sense of the personality they capture and then we'll have them call and talk to the fans who have supported them thus far, all of you! And to close the show tonight, I'll sit down and have a REAL conversatioon with the boys. This is not an interview, or a press meeting; this is a true to the heart talk, a real conversation between artists and men of caliber coming together to explore the true story behind the band. You'll hear the struggles and wars the boys had to fight to make it where they are today. This is the first of the Renegade Stories.

Host Cyrus Webb welcomes back actor Ryan McIntyre to #ConversationsLIVE to discuss his amazing journey to doing what he loves----and what it's been like to take his fans along for the ride. The two will also discuss what is coming up next for McIntyre and how you can stay connected with him.
Attorney Sarah Avraham and writer Bennet Pomerantz discuss the subjects of the day.
The audience should know that although Ms. Avraham is a licensed attorney, she is not offering legal advice in any capacity, is not establishing an attorney/client relationship with anyone listening to the show, and recommends that any listener of the show consult a local attorney for any legal advice they may require.
This show is about us discussing hot topics and how they relate to the law. Despite opposition from a wide range of groups (AARP, veterans, journalists, and animal welfare advocates to name a new), North Carolina lawmakers have overriden the governor’s veto of a bill that allows businesses to sue employees who expose what happens on the job, even if it what they are exposing is illegal. Why are bills like this making their way across the country? What does this mean for the “everyman”? Tune in to hear our hosts answer these and other questions on this issue.
