In 2008 Dr. David Imhotep received the first Ph.D. concentrating in ancient African history from Union University in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has served as President of the Egyptology Society at the Miami Museum of Science & Planetarium and was the founder of A.S.C.A.C. in Miami established in 1991. He has been featured in several magazines as the Journal of Black Studies, entitled the “African Aqualithic Period.” This book is the first in a series of books designed to cause any books about ancient African history to be rewritten.
An increasing number of historical and archaeological finds made around the world have been classified as "out-of-place artifacts" (ooparts). They have been called this because they appear unexpectedly among the ruins of the past with no evidence of a preceding period of development their technological sophistication seems far beyond the capabilities of ancient peoples [because they predated the civilizations that followed.] Drawing on the literature and art of the Chaldeans, Sumerians, Babylonians and others [who actually were able to witness these ooparts], Rene Noorbergen's contention is that a superior race of man was responsible for these scientific marvels that bear testimony to a civilization with technology comparable to our own. Dr. Imhotep wrote "The First Americans Were Africans." He asserts that Africans were indeed the first Americans and that they arrived 51,000 years prior to the Mongolians, Imhotep illustrates a date that is four times earlier than what is largely referenced.
“Africans not only came before Columbus, but were in the Americas long before any other group, at least 56,000 years ago,” says Imhotep. “With this book, I produce and expand on evidence from several scientific fields, credible scholars, professors and researchers.”
Expanding on a foundation of research and historic evidence, "The First Americans Were Africans" provides insight into remnants of architecture, writings and artifacts as it explores the beliefs surrounding the Vikings, Columbus, the Indians and more. With more than 700 footnotes, Imhotep intends for it to also serve as a guide for future research.
“The first Americans came to this land far before what we have been taught,” he says. “This changes the way history has been written, and fills a void that has long existed.”

Emerging from Alabama’s Gulf Coast like an exciting and electric force of musical nature, multi-talented composer, trumpeter and vocalist David Jones calls his brand of Smooth Jazz, “Soul Jazz” and titles it BEAUTIFUL MUSIC! There’s so much more here than that title implies. With the help of guitarist Eric Essix, Jones gets the party off to a soulful, funk-drenched start, having his trumpet declare on his radio hit, “Let The Players Play.” He and Essix keep the rock/soul hoppin’ on “Glory Be.” Jones includes lovely vocals and trumpet ballads and even an explosive Gospel tune. It’s BEAUTIFUL MUSIC for fans with expansive tastes! ~Jonathan Widran
