Join hosts Alice Lynch and Sumayya Coleman and show commentator Shasme Jackson as they talk to Pastor Annie T. Montgomery and Ayanna Harris about the quest for justice for Marissa Alexander and The Free Marissa Now campaign. A campaign that is engaging people in the US and all around the world with social justice action that help support the call to free Marissa Alexander. The show will also take a closer look at how domestic and sexual violence can have deadly consequences for victims, and the racist sexist stereotypes society paints of women, especially African American women who defend their lives against these attacks.
Dr. Eben Alexander talks about his extraordinary journey into the afterlife. Dr. Alexander, a highly respected and renowned neurosurgeon, spent over three decades honing his scientific worldview. He believed he knew how the brain and mind worked. A transcendental Near Death Experience (NDE), in which he was driven to the brink of death and spent a week deep in a coma from an inexplicable brain infrection, changed all of that - completely!
Today, we are honored to have with us Dr. Alexander to give us first-hand his "Proof of Heaven". His spiritual journey will no doubt leave you breathless.
Tonight at 9PM ET/6PM PT, FightSaga Radio Network presents a special Amir Khan vs. Devon Alexander edition of "The Sweet Science with James Gogue"!!
The three decade fight trainer will outline strategies for both competing fighters in this Saturday night's main event from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. The two former Junior Welterweight Champions have much to gain and even more to lose in this highly impactful 147 pound meeting. The scheduled twelve round contest is slated to be aried on Showtime Sports.
On the same evening, just down the Vegas strip, former two division world titlist Timothy Bradley will take on the hard punching Diego Chavez of Argentina. Gogue will examine potential fight plans for both Top Rank fighters as well, which will be featured in the main event on HBO World Championship Boxing.
As a bonus, Professor Gogue will also give fight fans a special big fight preview of a potential and seemingly inevitable clash between WBA/IBO Middleweight Champ Gennady Golovkin and 160 pound contender David Lemieux of Canada. The two most feared punchers in the division are ostensibly on a collision course for 2015.
The expert trainer will breakdown all three match-ups on this special edition of "The Sweet Science with James Gogue", exclusively on the FightSaga Radio Network!!
Amir Khan won a convincing 12-round unanimous decision victory over Devon Alexander in a matchup of two of the fastest welterweights in the world on Saturday in the main event of SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING® from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The impressive victory was nearly a shutout, with Khan winning 119-109, 118-110 and 120-108 to remain undefeated at 147 pounds and extend his winning streak against southpaws to seven.Tim Bradley Jr. returned to the ring tonight and took on rugged Argentine Diego Chaves at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.
A night of controversy continued in the main event as the judges scored the fight 116-112 Chaves, 115-113 Bradley, and 114-114 a split draw. The idea that anyone could give 8 rounds to Chaves is ludicrous especially coming from Julie Lederman one of the best judges in the sport in my opinion.
Bradley looked tremendous to start the fight very sharp with crisp punches. His legs looked great and his defense was on point. He landed flush shots on Chaves, boxing very effectively through the first 3 rounds. Chaves had moments of effectiveness during exchanges.

Even killjoys like the two hosts of Queensberry Rules Radio are willing to admit it when fight cards are reasonably entertaining. Maybe not without some tears or whimpering, but it's not totally unheard of, anyway. Between a solid HBO card this past weekend and the dueling HBO and Showtime cards this coming weekend, there was bound to be a good fight or two. So let's hope the quota didn't already get filled. This week on TQBR Radio, James Foley of Bad Left Hook and The Queensberry Rules' Patrick Connor do it all. From David Lemieux's stoppage of Gabe Rosado (and accompanying undercard), to Amir Khan vs Devon Alexander (and undercard) and Tim Bradley vs Diego Chaves (and undercard), there may be some forced optimism. Thanks for tuning in!

Happy holidays to everyone out there and boxing is giving its gift this weekend with a pair of events televised on HBO and Showtime that will surely have boxing fans happy for the upcoming holidays. For this article I’ll be going over the Golden Boy Card that involves such names as Keith Thurman, Abner Mares, Victor Ortiz, and both Charlo brothers that will be headlined by Amir “King” Khan squaring off against Devon Alexander “The Great.”
Amir Khan (29-3 with 19 KOs) is a fast-handed boxer who is born and very well followed in the UK. He has fought and defeated fighters such as Marco Antonio Barea, Paulie Malignaggi, Chino Maidana, and Zab Judah. However, everything hasn’t been prefect for Khan, sustaining losses from Lamont Peterson, Danny Garcia, and of course his 1st career loss, a 1st round KO to Breidis Prescott in the UK 6 years ago.
Devon Alexander (26-2 with 14 KOs) also has a pretty darn good resume. He’s defeated fighters such as Junior Witter, Juan Urango, Randall Bailey, a controversial win against Lucas Matthysee, and he also holds wins over Andriy Kotelnik and Chino Maidana. His losses have come to the likes of Timothy Bradley and Shawn Porter. He’s more of a technical fighter with not much power, but he also is a southpaw, which could complicate the rhythm of this fight.
Timothy Bradley (31-1, 12 KOs) is one of the most determined fighters in the sport of boxing. He has shown the ability to go toe to toe with the very dangerous Ruslan Provodkinov, and outbox the very crafty Juan Manuel Marquez. Coming off a loss against Manny Pacquiao he wants to rebound with a victory against the very underrated and dangerous Diego Chaves (23-2, 19 KOs).
Chaves is a typical power punching aggressive fighter from Argentina with good boxing skills. Both fighters are looking to make a statement this Saturday night in the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
