Revolution Reality Check: Part 1- No Place to Hide

Most liberty-loving patriots know we must restore our constitutional republic, but there’s great confusion, disagreement, and denial about how to do it, precisely what it’s going to take, or that many of us may die trying! Even patriotic Americans who work so hard to turn the tide and build a better life for themselves and their children often fail to understand what it’s really going to take to secure their version of the American Dream…or how long that struggle could last!

Join Firehawk as he discusses some brutal realities about what it’s really going to take to out maneuver and out gun the armies, both foreign and domestic, of the ruling class elites and re-establish freedom and our God-given human rights. Find out what’s in America’s future, and in your future, as Firehawk explores what must be done and who must do it. Alliances, both personal and organizational will be the key, as will planning, commitment, and sacrifice. You will come away from this program with a much better understanding of what you must do – for yourself and your country. Don’t miss this episode of American Firestorm…your future may well depend on it!

Listen live on Blog Talk radio at 9:00 PM ET, Friday, May 8, 2015, or listen to the archived show any time!

Children of Joshua- New American Revolution

    in Current Events

According to Bibical citation, Joshua was a major figure in the events of the Exodus and was charged by Moses with selecting and commanding a militia group for their first battle after exiting Egypt. Joshua was one of twelve Israeli men sent by Moses to explore the land of Canaan (Numbers 13:1-16), then after the death of Moses, he led the Israelite tribes in the conquest of Canaan and allocated the land to the tribes. God appointed Joshua to succeed Moses as leader of the Israelites along with giving him a blessing of invincibility during his lifetime (Joshua 1:5).

Young people born in the 1990’s and beyond have been dubbed: “The X generation”, The Millenniums”, The Lost Generation” by the media. But, in Black American communities, young people, aged 16 to 30, who are attentive to current event, seeing marked aggression toward Black males coupled with judicial indifference, are calling themselves the “Joshua Generation”. When I first heard this, I did not understand this reference. Out of curiosity, I started to talk to scholarly people, listen to wise men and women in lecture settings and talked directly to young adults aged 16 to 30. I had my eyes opened to “thinking” that I had not come upon on my own.

Young people are satiated with false promises and overt lies about justice, “leveled playing fields” and false promises about "getting an education” and finding a good job. There is a “disbelief” in American public education citing how staying in school no longer means getting a high school diploma. And going to college means being enslaved by long-term debt without prospects of a career or vocation. Distrust, unrest and “brain-washing” of their late ancestors, have given rise to Black American youth who are ready to exact change. “Respect is earned”, they told me, and “power is taken”.

J Brown: A Quiet Yoga Revolution

    in Lifestyle

For more than fifteen years, J. Brown has been developing techniques to teach people how to practice yoga in a deeper and more fulfilling way.  He is also a well-known writer appearing in Yoga Therapy Today, the International Journal of Yoga Therapy, Elephant Journal, and Yogadork.  Outspoken and sometimes controversial as a yoga teacher and blogger, J. Brown has sparked broad discussions in the yoga community via his award winning blog.

In 2007, after more than a decade as a popular teacher at various schools in Manhattan and Brooklyn, J. founded Abhyasa Yoga Center  (AYC) in Brooklyn, NY.  AYC was created to provide a home for yoga practice that adapts to individual needs.

Brown writes: “Fast and intense may serve for a time but it is unsustainable and will invariably require some re-evaluation. For in the slowness of our lives is where we are able to perceive its worth. Yoga practice is no different.” Join us today for the slow yoga revolution with J. Brown.

Catholic Founding Fathers - The Carroll Family

        CHARLES CARROLL CARTER

George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, James Madison, Patrick Henry, Benjamin Franklin. Nearly every schoolchild recognizes them as the Founding Fathers. But there were a great many more Founding Fathers, even if their names are not so familiar as the above. Several of those lesser-known men who played key roles in the creation of the United States of America were Catholics.

George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, James Madison, Patrick Henry, Benjamin Franklin. Nearly every schoolchild recognizes them as the Founding Fathers signers of the Declaration of Independence, framers of the Constitution, heroes of the Revolutionary War.

There were a great many more Founding Fathers, however, even if their names are not so familiar as the above. Several of those lesser-known men who played key roles in the creation of the United States of America were Catholics. Chief among them were three members of the Carroll family of Maryland: Charles Carroll, the only Catholic signer of the Declaration of Independence; his cousin Daniel Carroll; and Daniel Carroll's brother John Carroll, who became America's first Catholic bishop.

Charles Carroll of Carrollton (1737-1832) was the most illustrious and best-known of the Carrolls. He was the only signer whose property Carrollton was mentioned in the Declaration of Independence. Carrollton was the 10,000-acre estate in Frederick County, Maryland, that Charles Carroll's father had given him on his return to America from his education in Europe.

At the time he signed the Declaration, it was against the law for a Catholic to hold public office or to vote. Although Maryland was founded by and for Catholics in 1634, in 1649 and, later, in 1689 after the Glorious Revolution placed severe restrictions on Catholics in England, the laws were changed in Maryland.
