Tonight he shares with us his experiences as a young, single man in a sex craze world. But best believe he is taking his lessons from the word of God! All singles, both males and females, saved and unsaved have struggled with making the choice of sharing the whole of our body with another person.     Dante James, Independent Filmmaker

    Dante James is an award-winning independent filmmaker of dramatic and documentary films.  He  joined the University of Dayton as adjunct faculty. He has served as the Assistant Director of the African American Cultural Center at North Carolina State University. Artist in residence at Duke University. In 2006, James won a National Emmy for his work as series producer of the critically acclaimed PBS documentary series, "Slavery and the Making of America." He is the recipient of two Washington, DC region Emmy awards. His most recent documentary “Harlem in Montmartre: A Paris jazz Story” has screened at film festivals in Paris and Biarritz, France and was awarded best documentary at the 2010 Pan African International Film Festival in Cannes, France.


    He wrote, produced and directed the critically acclaimed dramatic short film “The Doll.” Based on a short story by Charles W. Chesnutt, "The Doll" was named best dramatic short film at the 2008 Hollywood Black Film Festival. In 2003, for Blackside Films in Boston, MA, he executive produced the PBS series, "This Far by Faith." His earlier work at Blackside has been honored with the DuPont Columbia Silver Baton. Dante James has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Grand Valley State University and a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Duke University. He was awarded a Doctorate of Humane Letters by Grand Valley State University. He served as guest lecturer at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. He plans to return to Cape Town next year to make a film with a black South African resident of the Khayelitshia Township. Additional projects under development include a series of dramatic short films based on classic African American short stories, two independent feature films a feature documentary on Huey P. Newton and the Black Panther Party.

    We are meeting with Dante Vespignani of Turma Inc. dba, The Entrepreneuers Source. Dante Vespignani has spent his entire career in the food and restaurant industry. Prior to starting Turma, Inc., he entered the business in 1973 with an Arby’s franchisee, growing the franchise to 21 restaurants with two full service concepts


    Tequila Junction and the Samari Steakhouse, Switching from franchise to company operations Vespignani held various senior management positions before leaving in 1993 as Director Operations NE United States, encompassing over 800 restaurants with 227 franchise groups. Prior to starting his own restaurant consulting firm he was the Director of Franchise Operations/Sales for a start up, full serve restaurant chain, growing that concept to over 100 restaurants.


    Turma, Inc., DBA The Entrepreneurs Source, evolved as a need based organization, bridging the gap for many franchise operators with different concepts, whose expertise was lacking in the areas of marketing, operations, P&L and cost analysis. Additionally, there was a need for his considerable consulting/coaching skills in mentoring would be business owners, thru the often muddy waters of business ownership.


    A native of Pittsburgh, PA, he attended The Pennsylvania State University, Blanchard Training and Development, Management 2000 and various American Management Association courses. Married and now living outside Portland Maine, his business acumen and experience gives him a unique perspective of the models necessary to succeed in the New England market
