On this episode of All Things Spiritual and Supernatural, your host Coyote Chris Sutton welcomes Greg Fields, Bill Cote and Jay Worthey of the Si-Si Wis Medicine Traditions.
Let Bill, Greg, Jay and Coyote Chris explain the ways of Si-Si Wis Medicine Traditions. These therapies are based on a spiritual view of life. Methods of healing include, but are not limited to, prayer, chanting, music, smudging (burning sage or aromatic woods), herbs, laying-on of hands, imagery, harmonizing with nature, dreaming, sweat lodges, developing inner silence, going on a shamanic journey, and partaking in ceremony.
An individual's connection to Nature and Mother Earth and communion with the spirit world is either in or out of harmony. The unique energies of the eight directions of the medicine wheel, as well as the sky, sun, moon, and earth, all play an integral part in Si-Si Wis medicine cosmology. Symptoms of illness are seen as connected with the spirit and energy. Rattles to break up blocks of dead or jammed energy and drums to align the person's spirit with the heartbeat of Mother Earth are sometimes used as a catalyst to help patients come back into harmony.
Learn about these traditions, how they connect with spirit and much more tonight on All Things Spiritual and Supernatural and don't forget to follow us on Twitter @AllThingsSAS for the latest in show news!
Young singer-songwriter Danielle Marie from Cardiff Echoes, Alberta has always had a passion for music. She participated in early music programs and continued with music/band in school until 2011, when she decided to seriously pursue a music career.
Heavily influenced by contemporary artists like Ed Sheeran and Adele, Danielle released her first EP in July 2013. While the folk/alt-folk offering attracted much attention – and even hit the #1 local spot on ReverbNation – she was convinced that musically, there was more. A month later, she headed to Nashville with 5 songs in hand, and recorded a full album, ‘More Than Just A Girl’, and shot her first music video.
Danielle's new single "What You Can't Have" is being released April 14th.
Even the title of his latest album "India, Seattle" (released April 14th) feels like a story on it’s own. Victoria’s Mike Edel couldn’t have named his sophomore release more poetically.
Part of growing a little bit older, a little bit wiser is the awareness that comes inside growing spaces. Nearing thirty, on the exhaust of a brutal four year touring schedule, Mike settled inside these spaces to create his finest work yet. There’s something about the way he presents personal experiences in a way that project universal understandings. Love and beauty, pain and confusion, the knowledge that all precious things are only precious because they can be lost. It feels a little bit like growing up - like the moment when everything that felt so close as a young person is all of a sudden so far away. It’s the comfort in finding that you aren’t alone.
Fields Family Outreach Ministries International with Evangelist Montell Fields with Special Guest Speaker ...Before becoming a believer, JGP played in bands starting at the age of 14 years old. Throughout those years he has been the vocalist for 2 metal bands, toured with world famous bands, played guitar, for a punk rock band, recorded hip hop tracks and owned his own recording studio.
His testimony of transformation is nothing less than a miracle. From dealing drugs, to jail, to becoming a dedicated follower of Christ.
After becoming a believer in the Messiah, he decided to take a break from music to learn the scriptures, and become closer to Him, He wasn't sure if he would ever do music again.
In 2013 he helped form a record label called Nkosi Records in Evansville Indiana. Being involved in leadership with Nkosi Records, JGP never thought he would get back into making his own music. His focus was on helping others perfect their craft and reach out to the community. Nkosi artist, Yung Kriss, asked JGP to be a feature on his mix-tape “Church Music”, which would be his first track in over 6 years.
Later, JGP signed to Nkosi Records. Wild Ones, his first single due to be released in April is already creating a buzz.

Since early childhood, William David Spencer has been in love with books and, particularly with mysteries and adventure stories. Captivated as a small child by the ingenious tales of Joe Pooh, Teddy Bear Detective, spun out by his endlessly inventive older sister, the young boy was left bereft of sister and story at her untimely death when he was only six years old. Books, poems, music and lyrics were his solace and he has been deeply immersed in creating them ever since.
Born and reared in urban central New Jersey, his life was changed by two events; his encounter with Jesus through Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship after a thought-provoking hospitalization in the summer between his final year in high school and first year in college, due to cutting too much weight as co-captain of his high school wrestling team; and the impact of a riot in his birth city, Plainfield, N.J., during the racial upheavals in the late 1960s. The second event propelled him into a lifetime of urban ministry taking the healing message he’d learned from the first event to the streets of Plainfield, then to Newark, Philadelphia, back to Newark/New York/Jersey City, Trenton, Louisville, Kentucky, and today to Boston, where he trains ministers, as professor of theology and the arts, with Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary’s Center for Urban Ministerial Education. Along the way he played in a band during the Jesus Movement, performing at coffee houses and festivals, helped establish a school for store front pastors, planted a storefront church he continues to co-pastor, helped create an academic journal and a book line and has had many adventures himself in city ministry.
Contemporary jazz vocalist, Victor Fields, joins forces with smooth jazz guitarist, Chris Camozzi, for a head-bobbing and soulful rendition of a Lou Rawls classic! The Lou Rawls Project is a sultry, bluesy and easy swinging set featuring lush, sophisticated re-imaginings of ten Rawls classics. Victor's rich gauzy tenor and his ability to move seamlessly between the blues, jazz, R&B and Pop prompted the legendary Lou Rawls to call him “the man with the golden voice” and the Los Angeles Times to describe him as "a stylistically accomplished singer who deserves much more attention."
