2016 .... Is It Too Soon To Talk About It? ... Let's Talk About It.

    in Politics Conservative

It seems like no sooner than one election season ends another begins. The yard signs from the 2014 mid terms are still in the ground, tattered and worn from exposure to the elements, and yet the focus on 2016 is heating up.

Will Hillary run? Has she already been running? Will Liz Warren Run? Will she put the Obama on Hillary? If neither Hillary nor Liz run then are there any democrats who will?

And what of the GOP? The Tea Party seems to have accepted their near perfect losing streak in the midterm primaries, so is there a Republican that can pull it all together?

It appears that the Democrats are just as fractured ather their 2014 debacle as they claimed the GOP was .... so who will run? Who can run? And what factor, if any, will Obama play in in influencing his successor?

This may turn out to be the longest presidential campaign on record and WE the people will be caught smack dab in the middle.

    BLACK POWER!.....REALLY?

    in Entertainment

The 1960's and 70's was a time that Black America was smack dab in the middle of the Civil Rights Movement and striving for equal rights. Many were killed daily trying to achieve something that should have been given to them much soon, BASIC AND CIVIL RIGHTS.

So in the middle of all ot this unrest. At the height of Black and White inequality, some of our most prominant Black entertainers women and men were in romantic relationships with white people. A time when Black women can be raped by a white man who will be arrested but only as a formality. He will get a slap on the wrist and sent on his merry way. A time when a White woman has only to SAY she was raped by a black man and he would be beaten with an inch of his life if not killed.

So in the midst of all of this, one of the most sucessgul Black entertainers of the time decides whille making a guest apperance on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, that he is going to tell a young woman who happens to be white to give him oral compilations in the Green Room moments before he goes out to meet Johnny.....and she does.

Let's talk about it tonight on DP RADIO XL

Dab Garner - Dab's 31 year Story of Hope

    in Health

Dab Garner & Dab the AIDS Bear  will be celebrating 31yrs living with HIV/AIDS. Dab the Aids Bear turned 31 in March. Join us for this special episode of POZ I AM RADIO when we celebrate 31 years of Dab the AIDS Bear.
Back in 1981 when Dab 1st had friends starting to die from AIDS, the hospitals wouldn't allow visitors into the patient's room unless you wore protective garments (gowns, masks etc.) because they were afraid of this new disease and were not sure how the virus was passed. Because of this, people were usually close to death and had at least one opportunistic infection when they were diagnosed and hospitalized. You could see even seasoned health care professional recoil in fear and not wanting to touch the patients. Even close friends were hesitant or scared to visit their friends in the hospital. Dab started buying Gund teddy bears and giving them to friends so they wouldn't have to feel so alone, abandoned and afraid. That is how Dab the AIDS Bear Project began, Learn more at www.dabtheaidsbearproject.com
