Meet author Norma Yeager. Norma will be chatting with me about her book, Breaking Down the Walls: 50 Courageous and Successful Years

    About the book:

Young women in the 21st century have choices. They can marry or not; the doors of educational institutions and industry are wide open to them. They can do and be whatever they choose. But to keep moving forward, it is important to understand from where we have come. And Norma Yaeger's story helps put it is perspective. Like most young women in the 1950's, Norma Yaeger married young, had children, and depended on her husband to support their families. Unlike most women of the times, when things went awry and her husband failed to provide, Norma took it upon herself to make a better life for her and her kids.

    About the author:

Norma Yaeger, came of age in New York in the mid 20th century when even educated women were expected to marry, have children and keep house.  So Norma went to City College of New York’s Bernard Baruch School Of Business and the Institute of Finance and then she got married, had children and deferred to her husband.  When he failed to provide, she not only stepped up, she stepped out, and became a stockbroker.

Meet authors Rick and Wendy Walleigh. They will be joining me on The Author Chat Show to discuss their book: From Silicon Valley to Swaziland: How One Couple Found Purpose And Adventure In An Encore Career

    About the book:

What do you do when you're ready to retire from a successful career in Silicon Valley? Why not move to Africa and do volunteer work? Okay, this isn't the way most of us imagine spending our golden years. But Rick and Wendy Walleigh -- like so many baby boomers reaching the traditional age of retirement -- were too healthy, motivated, and interested in giving back to play golf for the rest of their lives. From Silicon Valley to Swaziland describes their experiences, from the challenges of day-to-day existence in an unfamiliar culture to the joys of helping people in poverty grow their own businesses. If you're thinking about transitioning to a more meaningful career, you'll find the Walleighs' story both informative and inspiring.

Meet author Robert V. Baynes. He'll join me on The Author Chat Show to discuss his new book, The Day the Dollar Died.

    About the book:

John is an ordinary farmer in the Midwest. He has the same goals and dreams as many other hard working Americans. He loves his family and enjoys what he does to make a living. He imagines that things will be about the same for his future as they have been for his father and grandfather. He believes that he lives in the freest and greatest country on earth.

However, things are about to change drastically in his life and in the country he has grown up in. He is told by a neighbor about the changes that are coming, but he dismisses the warning and doesn't believe that this could happen in this country. Just like a Tsunami that travels across the ocean, almost no one sees the danger coming. When it begins to rise up as it nears shore, it threatens to destroy everything in its path.
