    Holly Elle (Pop/Dance)

    in Electronic Music

Tonight Pop Art Painter Jamie Roxx (www.JamieRoxx.us) welcomes back Pop/Dance Singer/Songwriter Holly Elle to the Show!

An electrifying bond of authenticity links modern chanteuse Holly Elle’s radiant voice to lyrics, melodies and beats. With soul infused pop as a point of reference – and the mantra “No labels, no rules, no limits” – Holly arrives with verve, vision and vibe.
While the press might portray Holly as a “Pop Powerhouse” there are far more complex dimensions to her ever-evolving artistry. Whether fronting a full throttle band, commanding a concert stage with electronic tracks or in an intimate venue accompanied by only an acoustic guitarist, she is equally enthralling. “The whole point of making music is for me to connect,” she confirms.

    Dance With Bipolar New Series

    in Self Help

Dance With Bipolar is a new radio blog series that views bipolar from a positive perspective. The name of blog was chosen for two reasons: 1.  Similar to the contestants who put forth much effort to perform in the TV hit show Dancing With the Stars, those with bipolar and their effort put forth are “stars” every day of their lives to survive the hurt from people who don’t understand them and the deep pain from the illness itself. 2.  Similar to dance, bipolar has many different rhythms such as chemical, sleep, and mood rhythms which all effect behavior. The purpose of the show is to embrace bipolar in a positive ways by utilizing problem solving, mindfulness and truth to develop new rhythms of behavior.  This show is also for friends and family members to understand bipolar rhythms and learn to interact in positive ways to strengthen relationships. Meg Dog, Bipolar Specialist, and Doc, a NJ psychologist, invite you to dance with spirit of bipolar to learn, live and love.  And believe, “ You are a star to survive your worst day, and we are all grateful that you did.”

How to Start and Build a Cross-Cultural Mentoring Program

    in Training

How do you start and build a cross-cultural mentoring program? When we think of mentoring programs in the workplace, we tend to think of programs that carefully match mentors and mentees who share some or a lot of cultural similarities.

But there’s another approach to mentor/mentee matching and that is identifying and pairing mentors and mentees who cross different cultures, such as mentors and mentees who come from different races, genders, ethnicities, religions, cultural backgrounds, socioeconomic backgrounds, sexual orientations, or nationality.

Today I will discuss this topic with my guest Jodi Davidson, Director of Diversity & Inclusion Initiatives at Sodexo.

The Female Solution: Inter-racial, Inter-cultural and Inter-religious Marriages

    in Religion

Finding the right partner is challenging enough when both parties come from the same background. But what about when there is a racial, cultural or religious difference? Will crossing these boundaries help the human family beome more unified and less divided? Or do we owe it to our racial group, our cultural heritage, or our religious community to stay within those boundaries when considering a person for marriage? What happens if a Muslim woman marries a non-Muslim man? What happens if an African American woman marries a white man? What happens if an American marries an African? Will it help us understand each other? Or are we asking for a marriage full of conflict and incompatibility?
