No matter how many friends you have on Facebook, you’ll never have a healthy social life if you don’t spend quality time with others. Some experts even believe that the robustness of your relationships may be the decisive factor in your ability to overcome chronic disease. This tele-lunch & learn will explore why it’s so important to nurture your relationships and how to expand your engagement with others to increase your social and total health.
The host of Let's Talk Truth will explore the fact or the myth that there is an increase in the number of dysfunctional relationships we are now faced with in today's society. Why are we faced with so many of these relationships and what can be done to diminish the number. Has the major changes in the economy contributed to the boost in our dysfunctional relationships or does the so called falling away from the church share equal responsibility. Let's have a REAL conversation about Relationships on Relationship Wednesdays!
This week's episode is about:
AFFECTING YOUR RELATIONSHIPS?
It's true, you are an adult! You can do what you want to do, but everything that you do has an affect on your life! So, do you watch ography, is it affecting your relationships?
We experienced techincal difficulties during our January 13th program of the same topic. We have decided to tackle this topic again as it was amazing what came forth during the program even though it was sometimes difficult to hear the callers.
I am sure I will hear many say - yes- what the f_ck is going on in my relationships? There may be many feeling this way about personal or business relationships. How about you? Why is it so hard to find the relationship you deserve and desire? Why does a relationship go so well all of a sudden fall apart and end so quickly?
What about me, what is my responsibilty in the failure of the relationship? This is probably the hardest aspect of any relationship to address - taking responsibilty. No it is not all your fault, but how did you contribute to the demise.
These are just some of the questions and issues we will explore. We will not provide you with a cookbook to fix your relationship but will offer stimulating conversation that may help you complete the pieces of the puzzle of life's journey. We hope to have a special guest - Summer Bacon - to join the conversation.

Writeous Talk on Love and Relationship is a show dedicated to thought-provoking content that encourages meaningful dialogue about love & relationships between single men and women who desire to be married. We'll discuss real issues that women talk about among themselves and men talk about among themselves, but rarely discuss openly between us. This show is not intended to pit men and women against one another as shows do which spark ratings/listenership, but does nothing to better our collective or individual understanding of one another which will ultimately improve the quality of our relationships. That is the mission and purpose of this show.
ABOUT YOUR HOST:
Derek Q. Sanders is a published author, blogger, public speaker, songwriter, and a musician. He has traveled the country as a musician on two consecutive tours with international spoken word artist, Mike Ellison.
On love & relationships, Derek speaks from a place of transparency and truth. He writes from two key premises (1) in the current societal landscape, women are not only undervalued, they are devalued being routinely objectified daily through mainstream media and entertainment. He provides insightful content that uplifts with truth & love. (2) There are far too few platforms that encourage open and honest dialogue between men and women that center on real issues that affect the health and well-being of our relationships. He creates that needed space.
Derek's mission is to foster strong healthy relationships by providing thought-provoking commentary that creates the atmosphere for dialogue that invites meaningful conversations between men and women to improve the quality of our relationships by finding and offering viable solutions.
It's time to turn away from what you had, what your used to dealing with, and reach for A Higher Level of Relationships. Yet, in order to do this, you must be on that level. How do you get there? What does it mean for us to have/make the bible the standard for our lives and relationships? "You do the talking".... let us know what these scriptures mean to you regarding the type of quality (higher level) relationship you desire. Hebrews 4:12-13,
1 Timothy 4:16, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1: 19-21, John 8: 31-32, Matthew 15: 1-9, John 12:47-48 and Acts 17:11. Intimacy is usually defined as a close personal connection between two people that usually grows and ripens with time.
As children we learned from our first relationship with our parents how we would develop intimately.
Our childhood determines our predisposition about intimacy, if we have loving nurturing parents, we are more likely to be able to open up easier than those of us who had not so loving and nurturing parents,
And as we grow older, we started to have intimate relationships outside of our homes, we started to meet more people, and started to build friendships, through work, and play.
Soon the opportunities of sexual intimacy comes into play, and we realize that everyones experience with intimacy is so very different.
Join me Janice Clarke, Holistic Health Practitioner, Master Herbalist, Nutritional Consultant, Reiki Practitioner and Host of the SOULFUL HEALING TALK SHOW along with our special guests as we discuss how to become clear about and developing Intimacy in our relationships, we are going to discuss the different ways and opportunities for enhancing intimacy in our relationships.

We are indeed living in the age of digital technology and social media! In fact 20 years ago, who would have imagined that the average person can run their own radio station from home, and reach as far as the entire globe! with that said, we use social media on a regular basis. we are always Facebooking, Instagraming, or Tweeting our thoughts, ideas, and feelings. It has also become a platform for individuals to tell the world how they feel about their significant other (good or bad)! Expressing your love for someone publicly can be a very beautiful thing! Insomuch that on special occassions and anniversaries it is almost an expected requirement, but things can really begin to spiral downward when arguements, and private dissapointments in the relationship are made public on the internet. How is this social media affecting our relationships?..............Let's talk about it
