On May 14th of this year, the legendary B.B. King passed away.  He was born, Riley B. King.  His children's names, Patty King, Claudette King, Shirley King & Robert Edwards More.  He died in Las Vegas.  Shortly after his death, I put together a musical tribute to him with audio of B B King so you could get a concept to how he perceived himself, things he thought about and other incidents in his life.  The one thing about books, documents and music.  Long after the artist is gone, their creation or contribution lives on.  Brother B B King will always remain a LEGENDARY contribute to R&B and the Blues.

Last week, we kicked off our FIFTH year doing this show.  4 years under our belts.   Over the years we've talked to quite a few guests including a contestant who won in CHOPPED, Lester Walker - we've talked to Nicholas Snow and his alternative lifestyle - we've discovered some things about ourselves, like with CeCe McPherson, Anna Redding and Aaron Anderson - Reylon Ellis, Saphyr Blue and Anna Redding shoveled out the goods on HEALTH CARE,  Derrill E Holley really gave us some insight on EBOLA - whatever happen to that scare - WE WERE ALL IN A PANIC were we not?  And now not even a smidgeon of concern, quite a few people are hoping Hillary Clinton drops out of the race, like Rick Perry did, and a lot of people really don't want to see Donald Trump become the Republican nominee, but it's heading in that direction.  What did we talk about today?  We had conversation with Jeffree Charles, radio announcer, performing artists/singer and now in the education field.  Give us a listen and discover a few things and hear his music with the COOL CRITICS

I know you want to get in on the discussion today - or you want to listen to another angle.  Valcine brought up the RED CUPS at STARBUCKS - a religious trend, or shall I say an UN-RELIGIOUS trend is slowly seeping into our system, and the whole world is up in arms about Paris France.  347-205-9366 - tell someone, we get serious here on the COOL CRITICS, and sometimes a few of us may go off - but in the end, you have learned something, perhaps, maybe?  Violence - Terror - so many things happening in 2015, and you would think the WORLD would get better, but it seems like it won't. - 347-205-9366.

Somewhere, a date in this month, the COOL CRITICS started.  It was started with Mark Dixon, Aaron Anderson, Cecelia Davis (First Choice/Top Shelf) & Anna Redding.  We've added and subtracted members along the way, but the jest of the show remains constant - and that constant is - WE WILL TALK ABOUT ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING.  This doesn't stand us out from a lot of the other people that have done shows, but one thing is the standout - we have had a show every week, unless there were technicals, which have happened, but we are on it - blue bonnet.  A lot in the news, the Republican run for President, the deal of President Obama - all the chit-chatter of the media, and polls talk.  One of the analysts said - the POLLS for the upcoming election don't mean anything - THEN WHY TALK ABOUT THEM AS A REFERENCE???? 347-205-9366.  COOL CRITICS in the house.

Critics Rant and Rave about Hugh Jackman

    in Movies

Noted film critics and avid fans rant and rave about the movies of Hugh Jackman.  Former co-host Jazz Shaw and award-winning blogger Fausta Rodriguez share their reactions to films through 2009, followed by a discussion of movies released after 2009 by film historian James Colt Harrison and entertainment journalist Diana Saenger. Although probably known best for his Wolverine role in the X-Men movies, this talented Australian actor boasts numerous films and TV shows to his credit, plus he’s also garnered acclaim for his outstanding performances in stage musicals, even winning a Tony for The Boy from Oz. And don’t forget Jackman’s Emmy -- which he earned for his entertaining turn as host of the Tony Awards. Jackman won additional fans with his rousing stint as host of the Academy Awards in 2009. An Oscar nomination and Golden Globe win for his emotional portrayal of Jean Valjean in Les Misérables have served to increase his popularity. Jackman’s latest role is Blackbeard in Pan, released on October 9, 2015.

The first couple of weeks, we've got off to a nice new WONDERFUL start, and this week, the show is going to be about things that were suggested by EBONY EMPRESS (from ENGLAND), AARON ANDERSON, HERSHEL MYERS JR, and DERRILL HOLLEY.  They came up with some nice zingers.  Who knows what it will be, UNLESS YOU TUNE IN, either on line, which is the most common, OR via your phone, cell or land line, or any of the Internet phone services, that would also suffice.  347-205-9366.  THE COOL CRITICS RULE, baby!  347-205-9366.
