    FREEWAY: Crack in the System

    in US Government

Freeway Rick — not to be confused with the Miami rapper, Rick Ross, who took the Los Angeles dealer's name and identity — built a drug empire that spread crack cocaine across the country, ruining millions of lives but profoundly influencing street culture in its wake.

FREEWAY: CRACK IN THE SYSTEM tells the story of broken dreams, drug dealers, dirty cops, and government complicity. More compelling than fiction, it's the real story behind America's war on drugs. Freeway Rick Ross will be in Houston, TX.May 1 & 2 at the Shrine of the Black Madonna Cultural & Events Center for a Town Hall Meeting and a lecture concerning his infamous untold biography.

Help us welcome "Freeway Rick Ross" to HOuston, TX. as we seek to inform the Public of what Freeway Rick has learned that most Americans don't know.

Our Killing Fields: Murder In The Black Community

    in Current Events

We're in the midst of a late summer spike in violent crime in several predominately Black and poor areas of US cities.  While we're talking about systematic racism, policies at every level of government that perpetuated the wholesale disenfranchisement of African Americans, and the need to assert that our lives that have been marginalized and minimized by that system in so many ways do matter, we have to talk about what is going on in our own house, too.

What is behind this spike in violence in the Black community, and what are we going to do to about it?

Were going to have a real discussion about a real problem, and we'll try to come up with some real solutions.

We've got plenty of strong coffee, bring a big cup,

Beautiful Butterfly Welcomes Author of Meet the Commodores Sunny Giovanni

    in Lifestyle

In southern Dallas, Texas, Sunny Giovanni-- or "Gio" as she likes to be called-- was born on the fifth day of June in 1989. Born to a mother who was a teacher and a graduate from Texas A&M University you couldn't so much as watch a Disney movie if you hadn't read the book beforehand. Gio has had a very strong history with literature, diversifying from poetry (winning placements in oratorical contests), to thriller short stories as a way to vent her frustrations.

The pen was handed down to her from an older sibling as a means to focus her negative energy and anger into something different but was used as a way to alter her own situations.
As a preteen Gio witnessed how much her writing could touch someone when she left one of her prized spirals in a classroom without knowing. Two weeks after it went missing someone brought it back to her asking for more, letting the young author know that almost everyone she knew read the story, but without knowing it was her in the story she had written.
Sunny Giovanni is an advocate for gay and transgender rights, and says: "You can't help who you are and you damn sure can't help who you love. You should be true to who are rather than to conform and live the ultimate lie and live miserably until the day you die." Credited from the poem she penned "Titanium", modeled after her novel.
Gio is a mother of three children, the founder of Lucid Legends Publishing/ Photography, Kno Joke Entertainment, the host of "We Talk TOO Much Radio" on BlogTalk Radio and blogs on Tumblr under the name "KnoJokeGio". She is a friend to many and prides herself on making a smile out of an extremely horrible day. "It doesn't matter if you're having a bad day... a smile could make everything else seem so small. Crack a joke when someone is hurt and see how fast they cheer up.

    Randy King http://christoutreachoklahoma.com/

    in Christianity

Both Randy and Callie were born into dysfunctional families living our life’s with an awareness of God but mired in demonic lifestyles of rejection which included inherited masonic curses, drugs, alcohol, fights ,abuse, sexual sin, multiple divorces, etc, etc. A true trail of tears. Around the last part of 1999 the Lord saved Randy and set him on the glorious path of sanctification as he began to walk out his salvation with fear and trembling. Baptism of the Holy Spirit came in June of 2000 opened up the scriptures to a greater understanding Introduced to the concept of deliverance through Cleansing Streams Ministries where for the first time in his life the power of Yahweh was seen working with God’s people to deliver God’s people. From that point forward Randy had it in his heart to see Yeshua Ha Mashiach Jesus be glorified as the enemy is defeated and the captive set free.Callie spent years in torment and drug abuse. She had gone to Church and asked for help over and over but to no avail. No avail because most of God’s people have been blinded by the enemy to the truth from the Word of God in Mark that believers would do the following: Mar 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils they shall speak with new tongues. Sent by the Grace of God to a place of deliverance and to someone with understanding  her healing and deliverance process began in 2003. The Lord set her free from crack cocaine, pill addictions and a lifestyle of abuse. The doctors said she had Rheumatoid Arthritis, MS, Ankylosing Spondylitis. Doctor Jesus said healed. After repentance and forgiveness towards God, self , others and demons being cast out she has been set free of these “incurable diseases” by the mercy, love and power of God Randy and Callie married in 2005 and began their life in grace as co-heirs to the goodness of God and freedom offered in Christ Jesus who is the Anointed One
