I came to the United States as a legal immigrant with my parents as a 10 month old child. My parents were fleeing their native homeland, everything they knew, everyone they knew and leaving behind all their worldly possessions to start life anew. They came to America to seek the freedom and liberties they had watched their native country lose to a power hungry charismatic leader. My father had been studying to be a surgeon and were starting out their lives when history repeated itself and a free and prosperous nation lost its way and the freedoms that they all took for granted and believed could never happen here were lost as Cuba became a communist country. I was fortunate enough to grow up in America where I learned that if you worked hard you could become anything your God given talents could take you. I became a naturalized citizen after the birth of my first child and it was a very proud moment surrounded by family and friends and a celebratory dinner afterwards. I went about my life like everyone else trying to do the best to provide for my wife and children. I had always been interested in American history and politics and felt that after Ronald Reagan and the United States had won the Cold War we had proven once and for all that our system of personal and economic liberty was the best path to prosperity.
We all thought that America and our ideals were safe and went about our lives until September 11, 2001. That's the day that our security was threatened and the American people decided to freely relinquish our liberties to the government. Fast forward to 2008 and the election of Barack Obama and Democratic control of both the House and Senate. I saw and felt that things weren't quite right, our liberties were under attack and I knew it was time to act. I wrote a book to try and help Americans rediscover their history before the elections of 2010.
Guest: Lorenzo Pablo Martinez, author of "Cuba Adios", his journey to freedom.

Are women allowed to preach in the church or must they remain SILENT? Did God ever call a woman to pastor or preach? Did Paul, who gave the commandment about a woman being silent, endorse and support a female preacher? Did God's commandment concerning the Last Days trump Paul's teachings in his dispensation? What does prophesying mean, and is it the same as preaching? Who was the ELECT LADY AND HER CHILDREN who was mentioned in the Second Epistle of John? What about Huldah and Debra? Join Richard Diaz and his guest, Coach Jenny Hadfield as they discuss an exotic running vacation: The Havana Cuba Half Marathon. Due to the US embargo, Cuba has been restricted for US travelers. This is a unique chance to visit and run on the forbidden Island of Cuba.
Few Americans have had the pleasure of visiting Cuba since we blocked trade with Cuba as far back as October of 1960 back. Through the efforts of InsightCuba, a non-profit travel organization specializing in legal people-to-people travel to Cuba for Americans, runners from the US can legally visit Cuba to participate in this event.

Sex trafficking has become one of the major social issues of the day here in the U.S. It is not new or even on the rise, but attention as an issue, particularly as a pro-life issue, has in the last 10 years has come into greater prominence. This is a heavy topic we will discuss today on TLFR.
One of our guests today is Laura Farrar from The Covering House in St. Louis. The Covering House is a Christian ministry that specifically aids in helping victims of sex trafficking escape and find refuge away from their traffickers. It is often a ministry fraught with danger, and Laura will help us understand what women and victims need the most in fighting this exploitation and devaluing of women.
Also, the parents of a missing woman named Phoenix Coldon will be our guests today as they discuss the circumstances of her disappearance. Lawrence and Goldia Coldon share with us their suspicions that their daughter, who was in college at the time she disappeared, is a kidnapping victim who is possibly being trafficked presently. They ask the public's help in recovering their daughter and restoring their family. You can find more information on their search on their facebook page, Missing Phoenix Coldon.
