Are our Constitution and Constitutional rights being violated by the government? Can we stop it if it is? Should we?
One man claims that the best way to deal with this madness is by scrapping the idea of steadfast adherence to the Constitution altogether. Louis Michael Seidman is a professor of law at Georgetown University. Last year, his book on Constitutional Disobedience made serious waves.
Its title really does explain why that was.
Professor Seidman joins us for a frank discussion about his legal philosophy on the next episode of Cotto & Company; a new thirty-minute-or-so online radio program featuring independent voices who shape our society. Regardless of partisan registration, political philosophy, or personal worldview, the goal is sharing diverse, and often innovative, ideas that we all can learn from.
Joseph Cotto, a nationally syndicated columnist, seeks to bring about a deeper understading of the issues that impact oursociety - from politics to socially acceptable behaviour, which are often not one and the same. On Cotto & Co. your host seeks out the deep thinker you may not be aware of, and asks them to explain the complexities of the world around.
Joseph Cotto beleives that we may not always agree, but we should be able to see eye to eye.
Dr. Paul Craig Roberts doesn’t engage in groupthink. As an assistant Treasury secretary under Ronald Reagan, he played a key role in formulating the Gipper’s now-legendary fiscal policy. As a journalist, he made no bones about reporting the facts as he saw them. Now, as a columnist, he shares his opinions about America’s turbulent sociopolitical climate.
Most pundits talk a good game about economics and politics. Few, however, are prepared to deliver anything beyond a superficial analysis of our time’s most controversial issues. Agree or disagree with the Doctor, his ideas are genuine, and they’re his own.
Dr. Roberts joins us for a frank discussion about America’s economic predicament on the next episode of Cotto & Company; a new thirty-minute-or-so online radio program featuring independent voices who shape our society. Regardless of partisan registration, political philosophy, or personal worldview, the goal is sharing diverse, and often innovative, ideas that we all can learn from.
While upper and middle class family sizes are perhaps the smallest they’ve ever been, those mired by generational poverty have children whose costs cannot be met without public assistance. Making matters worse is that many of these folks are illegal aliens. None of this even begins to factor how welfare programs are designed to offer increased benefits should an enrollee have more kids.
Forging a path through this madness can be a tall order. Californians for Population Stabilization eagerly takes on the challenge. The organization, commonly referred to as CAPS, is at the forefront of rekindling a national dialogue on population issues. This is especially difficult since, these days, both the left and right generally cringe at the mention of “overpopulation”.
Interestingly enough, denying the existence of population sustainability is one of the few, if only, things that modern-day leftists, rightists, and libertarians seem to agree on,
Leon Kolankiewicz has built a career around preserving America’s natural resources. An environmental scientist and wildlife ecologist, he brings inconvenient truths to the forefront as one of CAPS’s senior writing fellows. He also serves on the group’s advisory board, having played a decades-long role in the population stabilization movement.
Kolankiewicz shares his views about a topic which deserves far more attention on the next Cotto & Company; a new thirty-minute-or-so online radio program featuring independent voices who shape our society. Regardless of partisan registration, political philosophy, or personal worldview, the goal is sharing diverse, and often innovative, ideas that we all can learn from.

What a fight between Miguel Cotto and Sergio Martinez! But it leaves a lot of question. Was Cotto's performance that stellar? Or was Martinez's knees that shot?
We also will welcome Francisco Santana who upset the previously undefeated Eddie Gomez on Shobox.
Here we are, a good few days removed from Carl Froch giving George Groves the old "push and a pull" treatment. We've had a nice little string of fights, and the huge KO by Froch over Groves was the decisive ending that many were hoping for. There was also the unusual and suspect-looking stoppage of the Nonito Donaire vs Simpiwe Vetyeka fight to complain about and make fun of, which should come naturally to Bad Left Hook's James Foley and Patrick Connor of Queensberry-Rules. Also to be tackled, Sergio Martinez's attempt to defend the middleweight title against Miguel Cotto this weekend, plus somewhat tragic undercard. Thanks for tuning in!
On Cotto & Company, host Joseph Cotto speaks with Dr. Stephen Steinlight from the Center for Immigration Studies talking about A recent report by the Center for Immigration Studies indicating that all American job growth since 2000 has been for illegal aliens. How, exactly, is something like this possible?
The rush of unaccompanied illegal alien minors across our southern border has created both public outrage and a media firestorm. What will be the ultimate outcome of this quagmire? Dr. Stephen Steinlight shares his views about all of this and more.
Listen to Cotto & Company broadcasts every Sunday at 6:30pm or in archives on Communities Digital News
This is a special edition of Tale of the Tape on Sports Rant Radio as we will be broadcasting live from the scene of Miguel Cotto vs. Sergio Martinez in New York City. We will give you in-depth coverage of the middleweight championship of the world, live from Madison Square Garden.
We will also talk about Floyd Mayweather's decision to leave Golden Boy Promotions and look forward to great fights that lay ahead this summer.
Every once in a while, we as boxing fans are reminded that "that's why they get in there and actually fight." Sometimes match ups sound absurd or likely one-sided, and because of that we lose sight of the old, throw away phrase that, in boxing, "anything is possible." This past weekend, Miguel Cotto usurped the middleweight throne with no fistic regrets, grinding Sergio Martinez to dust, and making approximately 3/4 of the boxing community look stupid in the meantime. What does it mean? Was Sergio Martinez shot? Was Miguel Cotto underrated? Has anyone ever actually beaten Tetris? What was in Marsellus Wallace's suitcase, damnit??? Bad Left Hook's James Foley and Patrick Connor of Queensberry Rules will attempt to answer at least a few of those questions. This week, the asinine aphrodisiacs are joined by Eric Raskin, boxing contributor to ESPN, HBO and Grantland, and author of The Moneymaker Effect. Also, check out Raskin's podcast with William Dettloff, Ring Theory. Also on the menu, a preview of Ruslan Provodnikov vs Chris Algieri. Thanks for tuning in!
Mondays at 5 pm PST/ 7 EST Steve Kim and Gabriel Montoya of Maxboxing.com break down each week's matches and match-ups and discuss the week's top stories.
This week, Steve and Gabriel look back at Carl "The Cobra" Froch's victory over George Groves and the WBA feathereight title match between Nonito Donaire and Simpiwe Vetyeka. Plus, preview the middleweight title fight between Sergio Martinez and Miguel Cotto.
And news and notes.
