Costuming as Martha Stewart The Domestic Diva
With your hostess Granny Lou
How the idea for this character developed and the amazing inexpensive cost for such. (Resale shops)
I thought it would be funny have me, a male, develope several Martha outfits. Since I do have nice legs, I was able to do Martha in skirts as well as pants. She uses little makeup so that was another plus.
One thing about Martha, they either like her or not - no middle ground.

Tonight your host Bill Bachman takes it from the Paranormal to Pop Culture and the influences of social media on society with Ron 'Crunk Panda' Coleman Jr. and Jen Dent of Vine!
Ron, hailing originally from Nashville TN, Crunk Panda is the furriest of all the social media darlings. Air Force Vet, PEZ Connoisseur, Boston Terrier Aficionado, and all things in between. Loud mouthed, quick wit... and with a heart of gold, Panda has a background in all things wrestling, hip hop, and pop culture as a whole. You can probably run circles around him if you are an encyclopedia of comics knowledge, and if you try to go quote for quote, well..you will probably win. Panda understands more of the who, what, when, where, and why...as opposed to rote memorization of trivia. Panda is most known for his Ghostbusters uniform, followed closely by Hellboy, and, since he already looks the part... Dr. Venture. Always looking to give back to the community, Panda is actively involved with many charitable causes through his costuming in the Kansas City area where he currently resides.
From a young age, Jen Dent was expressive and creative. She has had a camera in her hand for a long time, documenting everything, starting with a Fisher Price camera that recorded 10-minute videos in black and white on cassette tapes when she was 14 years old. She then progressed to documenting her dorm life in college with a bulky VHS recorder. In 2011, she started a YouTube channel, "JentotheDen" which had hundreds of videos and got her noticed by USA Today in 2012. Since the days of dial-up, Jen has been very active on social media where she has shared thousands of photos and videos. When she discovered Vine from a friend, she found it to be the perfect combination of social media and expression. Her vines have been very popular, the most recent being a spontaneous, purposefully uncoordinated dance she did at an outside venue which has gone viral all over the internet.
My guest tonight will be the author and costumer, Heather Hutsell. I met Heather at the In-CON-Ceivable convention a few months back and was instantly attracted to her beauty and wit! Join me weekly. as I introduce some of the wacky and interesting people that I've met on the Inernet, on film sets. at horror conventions or through chance meetings in my day-to-day activities.

In this episode, Emi features an interview with THREE-time Emmy-nominee, Jeremiah Baumbach! They discuss his latest project, the unique, visceral "Reel of Horror" film project! During the interview, Emi and Jeremiah discuss the Horror film genre, the details of the project, as well as all the talented artists working with him on it!
The Reel of Horror is unique in that it’s meant to be a very social experience where audiences can feel free to engage with one another throughout the film. People love to get scared and laugh at other people's fear. The Reel of Horror lets you do both. Since the inception, Baumbach and his crew have worked with a number of local haunted houses in central Florida to produce a film that features a cast of over 60 scare-actors including: clowns, vampires, zombies, ghosts, witches, and freaks. Additional production value comes in elaborate sets, created for these seasonal haunts, which include: an Egyptian tomb, slaughterhouse, saloon, and morgue. A lot of work goes into producing each vignette. Each scene involves costuming, makeup and prosthetics, choreographed camera moves, and post-production special effects.

THE MARK challenges the ever increasing violation of a person's privacy and individual space. Weare talking about sexual harassment at the popular conventions around the world and its effect on those who venture out to display their wardobe and costuming talents.
When asked to take a photograph with a buom or scantily clad costumer, as percieved by the photoghrapher asking, violations of a person's civil and sexual rights are somtimes executed. Some people believe tat gettng close to a costumer, by invitation, also mean that they are allowed to pose with this person in any maner they want, many times wih physical contact.
Our panel of callers and professionals will argue the right of anyone who fits that description. Is it ok to touch a person without their expressed permission and if so, how far can they go? Are persons not familair with the cosplay world, find a hotel or convention area full of sex appeal inviing and ripe for ilegal behavior? What exactly constittes illegal behavior during aspace of posing, body painted, g-stringed indiviuals? We'll disect the do's and don'ts of CosPlay photography and crowd control duing the world's stage of sci-fi an fantasy characters.
Call in at 914-338-0314 and submit you opnion and experiences. We'd love to hear from you..
