Lyn Gibson is rapidly becoming recognized as a master of the horror genre. Raised amidst legend and lore, Lyn has become well acquainted with the darker side of history. As a noted Vampire Historian, she has acquired a fan base that spans the globe as her in-depth research of the revered Vampire has uncovered a history of bloodlust and violence that had once vanished from view. She is lover of the paranormal with an insatiable craving for knowledge of the beings that exist just outside of mankind’s grasp. She is driven with the desire of depicting the Vampire in its’ true nature; A fiercely passionate creature that is unbound by its’ own malevolent nature. Lyn brings a darker side of history to life throughout her series, The Adrian Trilogy. The series masterfully blends legend and lore into modern times whilst adding a erotic twist. There are some artists who are just rooted in your soul..who make no bullshyt excuses.....who just get right down to it...Wil Gibson is THAT artist... I promise..
Wil Gibson was born from a good idea and a bottle of bourbon. He was raised in some of the poorest communities northern Illinois and eastern Arkansas have to offer. He now lives in Portland (the one in Maine) and likes it a lot there (you probably would too). He writes too many love poems and not nearly enough of his novel. A proud (mistake prone) father of four who tries real hard and is still growing up.
He has performed with or opened for; Regie Gibson (no relation), Charlie Neville, Brother Ali, mybrightestdiamond, Toki Wright, Patricia Smith, and Kurtis Blow (among others) in dive bars, high schools, colleges, poetry slams, libraries, living rooms, restaurants, prisons, coffee houses, and churches from Bellingham, Washington to Boston, Massachusetts and beyond.
He was runner up at the 2010 and 2011 Arkansas Grand Slam, audience favorite 2010 Arkansas Grand Slam, three time (2008-2010) Portland, Maine/Port Veritas Grand Slam Champion, 2010 New Hampshire/Slam Free or Die Grand Slam Champion, has represented Portland, Maine six times (2008-2012, 2014) at the National Poetry Slam, including the 2011 team that made semifinals.
He has toured nationally solo and as part of:
Uncomfortable Laughter (w/ Beau Williams, Kait Rokowski, and Ryan McLellan)
guyslikeyou (w/ Beau Williams and Ryan McLellan)
is an honorary member of Chicago 4 Star Poetry(w/ Billy Tuggle, Andi Kauth, Rik Vazquez, Melanie “George” Decelles, Ashley Hart, and Patricia Smith)
and is a founding member of the Port Veritas artist collective.
He likes people and dogs a lot. He would like to pet your dog, talk to you a few minutes, and possibly give you a hug if that’s ok.
This Saturday (March 21), thanks to feedback, we will cover in depth; Wisconsin's Governor Walker's recent signing of its Right-to-Work law, which as expected, has been excoriated by the left, as "anti-union".
If you accept the narrative, that labor/working is completely and inextricably associated with unions, you would agree.
But, are unions necessary today? Why or why not?
Should the worker be held hostage by unions, by being forced to join them and pay dues?
We also want to examine the motivation and motivators behind the attacks on Bill Cosby; the accusations of drugging/rape, after 30-40 years.
Barack Obama thinks voting should be mandatory for Americans, though I'll take the liberty to say that he also means "non-Americans (i.e. illegal immigrants).
Yeah, I know, "people died, to protect our [black people's] right to vote, so this should be pretty academic.
BUT, since when does a right become a requirement?
Other issues are on the table, both domestic and international, so let's get ready to
GRAB THE BRACH OF CRITICAL DISCOURSE!
