What it Takes: Core Beliefs, Personal Development, Sales Training

    in Entrepreneur

Sales training. Sales training is not product training. Sales training is learning how to relate to prospects in a way favorable such that, both, the agent and the prospect have meaningful, two-way dialogue during the sales interview.
Personal development. This area involves keeping a positive attitude when you do not feel like working. Personal development reduces anxiety and frustration so you will not beat yourself up.
Core beliefs. This is the set of values that defines you. No one can take these from you. Your core beliefs can accelerate your sales performance. Or, your core beliefs can dampen your sales performance.

If your core beliefs are not aligned with good sales performance and revenue expectations, you can develop new components to establish a new belief system... but it is not easy. You have had your current core beliefs for the last 25, 35, 45, or 55 years.

But here's one thing I learned and use to help salespersons. Getting all three-sales training, personal development and core beliefs-to fire in harmony starts with sales training.

If you do not know how to sell, while trying to improve personal development skills and working from your current belief system, functioning as a salesperson becomes extremely frustrating.

Why? Because personal development training is not sales training, and this results in salespersons working too hard trying to wing it with prospects. Salespersons will often spend years and thousands of dollars on personal development training and never learn how to sell.

Sales training helps clear the fog about what you are selling. Here's how:

Learning how to sell and generate more income, the mind becomes more receptive to personal development training.
Next, personal development training exposes negative core beliefs that need to change.

    Contemplating Our Core Values

    in Spirituality

This week on the Cosmic Citizen we will be discussing core values in the context of The Urantia Book's teachings.  One of the core values that emerged from our shows on bullying was the idea of being an upstander rather than a bystander. Being an upstander means valuing courage. Courage is a core value. Truth, beauty and goodness are also three foundational values frequently expounded upon in The Urantia Book and love is at their core. Consider the following:

(2:7.12) Truth is coherent, beauty attractive, goodness stabilizing. And when these values of that which is real are co-ordinated in personality experience, the result is a high order of love conditioned by wisdom and qualified by loyalty.

Values are the fabric of reality, consider these statements:

(5:4.2) Sooner or later, God is destined to be comprehended as the reality of values, the substance of meanings, and the life of truth.

(7:1.3) Spiritual values and spirit forces are real. From the viewpoint of personality, spirit is the soul of creation; matter is the shadowy physical body.

(100:3.5) Values are not conceptual illusions; they are real, but always they depend on the fact of relationships. Values are always both actual and potential—not what was, but what is and is to be.

Our values are, in fact, powerful drivers of how we think and behave. Ultimately we focus on and create what we value. In the next few weeks we will feature guests who will discuss values and how they effect us and our relationships.

Jesus taught that values manifest as fruits of the divine spirit: loving service, unselfish devotion, courageous loyalty, sincere fairness, enlightened honesty, undying hope, confiding trust, merciful ministry, unfailing goodness, forgiving tolerance, and enduring peace.

Limiting Beliefs About Money Block Its FLOW

    in Self Help

Have you ever heard these phrases from parents or other relatives when you were growing up? "You have to work hard for money" or "Money is easy come, easy go" or "We can't afford that"  or "Make sure you marry a man with money and you will be set" If you heard phrases like these constantly, you have been programmed to believe that making money is hard, that you have to marry into it, keeping money is elusive, and that the things that you want the most are unaffordable. Were you taught that money was evil or people who made alot of money were miserly, greedy, and cruel. What are your beliefs about money?

Have you really ever stopped to think about it? Limiting beliefs about money block its easy flow into your life. Look all around you. We live in an abundant universe. The creator has provided us with anything that we could ever need or want. We just have to plant the right seeds in our life and amazing things will grow. Just like my beautiful lush garden. Those seeds are our beliefs. Our beliefs about the scarcity or full on flow of money into our lives affects exactly how much passes through our hands and how hard we have to work for it. Let's talk about the beliefs that we have around our ability to make and use money to live an abundant life.
