We’ll go into more depth with controversy surrounding this year’s Podcast Movement. We’ll answer the question ‘When should you use calculated controversy to help with your business?’ In the Level Up section, we learn from other's experiences and the importance of keeping an open mind. With there only being a handful of African American filmmakers and producers in Hollywood it's refreshing to see new talent arise telling stories of Black America's plight from perspectives that are far too often neglected and overlooked in the mainstream. The members of A List Enterprises are doing just that. They in assocation with other artists are hard at work to produce projects that combat the stereotypes Black films seem to portray in movies today. Please join Soy for a discussion on "The Controversy of Urban Film and Theater: Where are we now?" This will surely be a show you do not want to miss. Featured guests and call ins from A-List Enterprises and Jente' Enterprises.
Years ago it just wouldn’t happen. News would be buried. Unrighteous acts hidden. But today, not even fire can spread as fast as word on the internet. In today’s electronic age, nothing is sacred, nothing is secret.
This week on Apocalypse Nana, Rob and Jackie discuss how the internet and social media has changed the way we live and view things. How it has influenced our knowledge and ability to be judgmental. On the positive said, how it has helped us to be more aware and proactive to injustices in the world.
In good old fashioned debate style, Rob and Jackie tackle today’s hottest controversy subjects. Such as Sandra Bland and Hulk Hogan.
We will also discuss if this sudden need to closely examine everyone’s lives will carry over into the apocalypse or will, finally, privacy prevail when the end comes.
With us, this week, Katelyn will be editing Beginnings while we broadcast and special possible guest, Ed Huang, AKA Henry. May be there, but hasn’t a clue he will be on our show.
It’s a show you don’t want to miss!
Attorney Sarah Avraham and writer Bennet Pomerantz discuss the subjects of the day.
The audience should know that although Ms. Avraham is a licensed attorney, she is not offering legal advice in any capacity, is not establishing an attorney/client relationship with anyone listening to the show, and recommends that any listener of the show consult a local attorney for any legal advice they may require.
This show is about us discussing hot topics and how they relate to the law. Rowan County, Kentucky Clerk Kim Davis' office turned away David Moore and David Ermold just hours after a U.S. district judge ordered her to do the opposite. Deputy clerk Nathan Davis says their office was advised by its attorneys with the Christian law firm Liberty Counsel to continue refusing same-sex couples during the pendency of the appeal of the the ruling to the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Kim Davis has argued that her deeply held Christian beliefs prevent her from issuing licenses to same-sex couples. After the U.S. Supreme Court ruled gay marriage bans unconstitutional, Davis stopped issuing licenses to any couple, gay or straight. Many things have been said in regards to this controversial case, but tune in to hear our hosts break down the legal intricacies that entangle this controversy.
