    With Change Come Unexpected Consequences

    in Women

How many times have you heard “Change your mind change your life” or some version of it? Setting goals implies that you are going to make a change. What few people tell you is, that with change comes unexpected consequences. The consequences can be big or small; good or bad. Just knowing this can happen can make a big difference in how successful you are.

Because how you handle the consequences and the ripple effect will determine how fast you get going again and how fast you get results. This is the perfect time to reflect on your goals and to design a process to work through the inevitable to better results.

The Porch - Truth and Consequences

    in Religion

As Believers in Messiah Yeshua, aka Jesus of Nazareth, we come to the life saving knowledge of The Truth.  That Truth sets us free but it also subjects us to the consquences of our choices.  The powers of darkness know this and take advantage of that spiritual principle. Tonight on The Porch we talk Truth and Consequences.

Getting back to basics by examining the Word of God and, especially, the Book of Acts Church, The Porch Online Bible Study is taking a deeper look into how the early church served the Lord.

Our desire is to find and restore the priesthood of the Believer and the world shaking influence the Early Church had. By delving deeper into scripture we will find the Church the Lord intended and not the one man created.

The Church Age is not over and therefore what took place in the Upper Room is as much for now as it was on the Day of Pentecost. If you know that there is more to your spiritual walk with Yeshua/Jesus and you want more then you are welcome to join us on this journey as we get back to basics!

Consequences for not turning when corrected

    in Christianity

The main focus here is that all of the “sons” are strongly exhorted to embrace the discipline measures of God as the method for qualifying each to be partakers of His holiness. However there is a caution emphasized that both the uncooperative one as also the cooperative one will do well to pay attention. The uncooperative one should never dismiss the various trials and sufferings as unimportant or unnecessary; likewise the cooperative one must never over emphasize that such things are designated as our portion in life, as though there is nothing else that comprises or exemplifies the life of a Christian. The balanced way is to accept God’s chosen method to infuse us with Himself that is, each time a trial or hardship comes our way it is not just for the squeezing out of some detestable attitude or habits, but filling those empty places with godly character and His nature.

True Repentance for Sin, Consequences, and You (2 Samuel 12)

    in Christianity

David didn't come to a place of repentance on his own. Nathan the prophet was used by God to awaken David to the truth of the situation he was living in. David repented but his sin had dire consequences.

2 Samuel 12:13-14New Living Translation (NLT)

    David Confesses His Guilt

13 Then David confessed to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.”

Nathan replied, “Yes, but the Lord has forgiven you, and you won’t die for this sin.14 Nevertheless, because you have shown utter contempt for the word of the Lord[a] by doing this, your child will die.”
