It was while she was reading a short story that she had composed for her second-grade classmates that she very clearly heard in her own head her then-eight-year-old voice say, “This is what I want to do for the rest of my life.” Michelle decided to work to share her first children’s book, Wings Up, with the world, because she genuinely wants her daughter, Emma, and children everywhere to begin their spiritual journey early, without fear or hesitation. She also hopes her efforts to write, follow her lifelong dream, and finally fly, will teach Emma, early on, to do the same. Michelle Hydeck is a lifelong resident of Milford, Connecticut, where she lives with her husband, Ron; daughter, Emma; and their fourteen-year-old dachshund, Dunkin.

This is an interview that you will not want to miss! Grab the kids for a great interview with my guest Michelle Eastman, they will love her special story of the Legend of Dust Bunnies!
The Legend of Dust Bunnies, a Fairy’s Tale is a lighthearted story about a very important topic: Being Yourself. This story will open your eyes to a world of dirt and dust that you never knew could be so magical and fun! Did you know that dust fairies come into our homes at night and spread dust, spider webs, and even spit crumbs into the carpet? They do! It’s true! Well, not all fairies. Artie is different. He doesn’t like messes, and he doesn’t fit in. When given lemons you're supposed to make lemonade, right? This story does one better, it turns DUST into DUST BUNNIES. The Legend of Dust Bunnies is the delightful story about how and why a misfit Dust Fairy turns dust into cuddly dust bunnies and the joyful aftermath that follows. It's an ingenious story that will have families looking at dust bunnies in a new light, and may actually give kids an excuse NOT to clean their rooms. It's a perfect gift for a girl or boy.
Michelle Ann Pillow is a motivational speaker, author and poet who inspires women all over the country to empower themselves and walk in their divine destiny and purpose. Michelle was born to teenage parents in Chicago. Her mother, 16 years old when she was born, was a drug dealer who later became addicted to crack cocaine and heroine. Her father, 15 years old when she was born, was an alcoholic. He grew and sold marijuana to support his family. At the age of 9, Michelle and her younger brother were taught when to pull the marijuana plants and were the production line to get the product ready to sell.
Her parents never married but the life they lived was very dangerous and brutal. Once her mother began to use drugs she became a totally different person. She was very physically and emotionally abusive. Her mother would tie her to a bed and beat her and let her friends beat her too. Often her mother would make brutal remarks, comments and critical words to her children. I did not feel loved by either of my parents.
Michelle did not choose to use drugs or alcohol but was twice a battered wife and then God showed Michelle her value! Michelle Pillow went from a broken, abused and battered child to becoming a broken, battered and abused wife. Today Michelle Pillow holds a degree from Robert Morris University. She works for a marketing firm and travels the U.S. conducting market research for major restaurants and store chains. She also writes books and is a strong advocate for those who are involved in domestic violence. This year she will release two books, Abused Woman, Be Empowered and Sheniqua You Know You Don't Look Good In Spandex, Telling Your Girls The Truth! Michelle often recites a poem she wrote to ex-husband upon leaving him called "I'm Wearing My Crown."
